We’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support our customers and join our passionate team of high-impact problem solvers.

About the role:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be diving deeper into the software lifecycle, taking on more complex tasks and leading smaller project initiatives. You will not only write code but also be involved in design discussions, code reviews, and mentoring Associate and Standard Engineers, helping to maintain the high standards of our organization. You will be the technical owner of a software teams delivery.

What we are looking for: 

• 5+ plus years of hands-on experience as a software engineer
• Demonstrated track record of technical leadership
• Ability to disambiguate technical requirement and functional requirements to provide your team direction
• Proficient with Golang or Rust, and Java
• Strong experience in multiple Big Data/Cloud/Enterprise Frameworks 
• Experience in creating robust web-socket and RESTFul APIs 
• Deep knowledge of SW design and architecture patterns 
• Proficiency with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes 
• A strong collaborator who can work well with a diverse team 
• Able to mentor junior engineers
• Demonstrated working knowledge & experience in the following areas: 
  
  • Kubernetes
  • Ability to leverage multiple types of databases
  • Support CI/CD pipelines
  • Developing performant applications
• Able to obtain a Security+ certification within 90 days of employment with Raft
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related field

 Highly preferred:

• Experience with Software Factories and Big Data Platforms 
• Experience with DuckDB and Kafka
• Certified Kubernetes Developer

Clearance Requirements:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance

Work Type: 

• Remote
• May require up to 25% travel

Salary Range:

• $150,000 - $190,000 
• The determination of compensation is predicated upon a candidate's comprehensive experience, demonstrated skill, and proven abilities
