Position Summary:
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and building .NET applications using C#. The role will focus on both front-end UI and backend business logic. The primary responsibilities will be to maintain, design, code and modify websites, from layout to function and according to client or product specifications. Strive for collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design and creating a quality product.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement solutions that meet web design/client requirements to help build and/or maintain websites through team and individual efforts.
• Ability to adapt to new languages, methodologies, and platforms to meet the needs of projects.
• Basic understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
• Review existing applications and make changes and/or address application issues.
• Maintain, design, build efficient, reusable, and reliable code for .NET based applications with an MVC / JavaScript front end. Basic understanding of security
principles and how they apply to E-Commerce applications.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues to ensure an error-free experience.
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is preferred.
• 8 plus years of experience in the field or in a related field is preferred.
• Strong computer skills with solid knowledge of .NET framework and relational databases.
• Proficient in C# and UI development, including jQuery, HTML, AJAX, and MVC.
• Familiarity with SQL server and Microsoft Azure is preferred.
• Functional expertise with browser debugging tools and strong organizational and reporting skills.
• Knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated and willing to learn new technologies.
