About the Role...

Join us as a Senior Software Engineer on our new Marketing and Loyalty team! You'll play a pivotal role in building the next generation of our customer engagement platform from the ground up. You will be responsible for creating features that drive customer loyalty, power our marketing initiatives, and directly impact our growth. You'll collaborate with engineering, product, and frontline teams to create an experience that is robust, scalable, and delightful for our users. We are looking for a strong engineer who is excited to tackle complex challenges, shape new architecture, and help grow the team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and share our passion for delivering outstanding products, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do...

  • Architect and develop mission-critical features for our new loyalty and marketing platform using C# (.NET), React, and SQL Server.
  • Design and build scalable services for email marketing campaigns, customer rewards, and promotional offers.
  • Work closely with our Product and Marketing teams to scope, design, and develop customer-facing features.
  • Develop API integrations with third-party marketing and communication platforms.
  • Mentor and coach other engineers, positively contributing to our culture, processes, and practices.
  • Take part in core architectural decisions that will build the foundation of the platform.

What You Bring...

  • 5+ years of professional development experience with a deep understanding of backend server languages (C# is required).
  • Proven experience building and shipping production-level features using modern front-end frameworks like React.
  • Proficiency with relational databases (SQL) and the ability to design and extend scalable data models.
  • Experience working in high-scale, distributed systems.
  • You take pride in the code you write—it's clean, tested, organized, and elegant.
  • You're a self-starter, proactive, and can drive projects forward without constant direction.
  • You're a quick learner who enjoys picking up new frameworks and technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative, agile environment where we ship code often.

It’s a bonus if you...

  • Have experience developing loyalty programs and rewards systems functionality.
  • Have built integrations with email marketing or other marketing automation platforms.
  • Have professional experience with Ruby.
  • Have deep experience with third-party API integrations.

You’ll Get…

We are targeting a starting salary of $149,000 - $180,000 based on the intended level for this role.

In addition to cash compensation, our total rewards package includes:

  • Full medical benefits including dental and vision plans to ensure you always have the best care.
  • Equity packages in the form of stock options to all employees.
  • Technology (hardware, software, reading materials, etc..) allowance
  • Flexible vacation and sick days

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
