• Team -
  The Security Platform Engineering IAM Onboarding team is dedicated to building and maintaining a trusted, easy-to-use and scalable platform. Our mission is to streamline the adoption of Company's paved road access management solutions for both first-party and third-party tools, thereby reinforcing Coinbase's reputation as the most trusted brand in crypto.
  Our product offerings include an end-to-end bootstrapper for creating 1st party internal tools with built-in authentication and authorization controls and a platform that synchronizes user entitlements from our internal data store to SaaS applications. Our products are integral to Coinbase's internal operations, including Customer Support and developer operations, and are utilized by over 100 tools across the company.
• Role - As a Senior Software Engineer at Coinbase, you will join our team to build out the next generation of the Security Platform. You will develop new features and scale existing solutions in order to grow their reach from a hundred to thousands of services. In this role, you will tackle highly complex and unique technical challenges. Your work will involve balancing security and compliance requirements with positive developer and administrator experiences for Platform end users.

What you'll be doing

• Build new platform features to meet critical security and compliance needs using Golang.
• Develop high-quality, thoroughly tested code to enhance Coinbase's security posture.
• Simplify the deployment, ownership, operation, and diagnosis of our systems and products.
• Design scalable systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
• Work with engineers, security analysts and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter.
• Serve as a direct communication channel for Coinbase developers utilizing our platform solutions, offering design input and debugging assistance.

What we look for in you

• You've designed, built, scaled and maintained production services, and know how to compose a service oriented architecture.
• You possess strong technical skills for system design and coding and write high quality, well tested code.
• You've demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, fostering effective teamwork and clear communication with platform customers.
• You're passionate about developing state-of-the-art, mission-critical security controls.

Nice to haves

• Experience working with greenfield projects.
• Experience developing products within the Identity and Access Management domain.
• Experience building a product/platform utilized by other developers.

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).
Pay Range:
$186,065 - $218,900 USD
