Job Description:

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Customer Data Platform (CDP) team. This team maintains Uniphore’s CDP, enabling enterprises to activate and analyze customer data at massive scale.

You’ll work on performant user interfaces that help users explore data, design personalized experiences, and orchestrate customer journeys. This is an opportunity to shape the future of AI-powered customer engagement through thoughtful design and seamless user experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Evolve Core UI Features
Lead the design and implementation of scalable, intuitive user interfaces that empower enterprise users to configure data pipelines, manage identity resolution, and activate campaigns seamlessly.

  • Innovate with Agentic CDP Features
Create intelligent, AI-powered user interfaces that simplify complex workflows and enable smarter, faster decision-making for data analysis and campaign orchestration.

  • Contribute to the Future of GenAI-Powered UX
Help define a new class of user experiences by designing intuitive interfaces for intelligent agents and generative AI tools that streamline enterprise workflows.

  • Modernize UI Frameworks and Optimize Performance
Drive the evolution of our front-end stack by adopting modern frameworks (e.g., React, TypeScript), improving load times, responsiveness, and overall application efficiency at scale.

  • Drive Self-Service Platform Capabilities
Enhance user autonomy by building flexible tools for pipeline configuration, access control, identity resolution, and data exports.

  • Collaborate Across Functions and Conduct UX Reviews
Partner closely with design, product, and backend engineering teams to deliver cohesive, user-centric experiences. Contribute to UX reviews and ensure design consistency and usability across the platform.

  • Mentor and Contribute to Design Direction
Provide guidance and mentorship to other front-end engineers, while influencing design system architecture and ensuring engineering best practices are followed.

Must Have Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience designing, building, and operating high-scale, mission-critical cloud-based production systems.

  • Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+), with experience building complex, scalable web applications.

  • Experience with Cypress or similar frameworks for front-end test automation and maintaining reliable test suites.

  • Hands-on experience with micro frontends, component libraries, and design systems, including tools like Storybook for UI development and documentation.

  • Ability to build API-driven UIs, including working with dynamic forms, JSON Schema-based models, and configurable front-end architectures.

  • Proven track record of delivering major UI initiatives in live production environments (e.g., framework migrations, structural page overhauls, large-scale redesigns).

  • Familiarity with backend APIs and data models, comfortable querying and debugging with basic SQL when needed.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience working with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), B2B SaaS products, or marketing technology (MarTech) tools.

  • Knowledge of authentication frameworks like Auth0 or similar for secure, scalable user access management.

  • Experience integrating with AWS services or using the AWS SDK for cloud-native front-end applications.

  • Exposure to Scala- or JVM-based backend environments and event-driven architectures (Kafka, Spark) is a plus.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
