This is a high-impact, high-ownership role for someone who wants to go deep across the stack - whether it's building patient- and therapist-facing experiences, internal tools, or the backend systems that power them.
You'll be a technical leader with strong product instincts, helping us build intuitive, elegant, and scalable software for the people who need it most. You'll collaborate closely with product, operations, and clinical teams, and have the opportunity to own key parts of our platform end-to-end.
What You'll Do
Build high-quality, user-focused full stack products
- You'll contribute to the core surfaces of Marble's platform, including:
- Interfaces for patients and families navigating care
- Tools for therapists and care coordinators delivering that care
- Portals for school counselors making referrals and tracking progress
- Internal workflows and RCM systems that keep our business running
Own and evolve core platform architecture
- Help shape the systems that underpin our product - from frontend performance and design systems to backend infrastructure like event-driven workflows, data pipelines, and integrations with external systems.
Raise the bar on engineering excellence
- Set the standard for clean, maintainable code across the stack. Champion best practices in testing, observability, accessibility, and scalability. Mentor teammates and help grow a strong, thoughtful engineering culture.
Be a product partner and user advocate
- Work closely with product, ops, and clinical teams to understand real-world needs and turn them into elegant solutions. Develop empathy for our diverse stakeholders and build with their experience in mind.
Qualifications
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong experience across both backend and frontend development
- Experience in Node.js and React, with a proven track record of building and maintaining full stack web applications
- Experience designing and scaling backend systems, including working with APIs and data stores (i.e. SQL databases, redis, etc.)
- NYC-based and able to work from our SoHo office 2+ days/week
Bonus
- Prior startup or early-stage experience is strongly preferred, but not required
- Prior experience in the healthtech space
- Experience with platform infrastructure (e.g. event-driven systems, internal tooling, data pipelines) and/or cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, CI/CD, IaC such as Terraform)
- Experience with design systems, accessibility, or frontend performance optimization
Marble Traits
Relentless Drive
- You're the hardest worker in the room who takes full responsibility for outcomes and tackles any task, no matter how small.
Introspective Team Player
- You invest in relationships and team morale while actively seeking feedback and self-evaluating to continuously improve.
Operationally Excellent
- You communicate clearly, think logically, and execute efficiently & effectively.
Role Traits
️ Detective - Problem Solving
- You get to the root of problems. You follow the trail, ask sharp questions, use every resource available, and don't stop until you're confident it's truly solved.
♟️Chess Master - Analytical Thinking
- You focus on high-impact initiatives and say "no" to distractions. This includes balancing short-term wins with long-term vision, making tough trade-off decisions with limited resources, and maintaining focus on what truly matters.
Chameleon - Adaptability
- You move seamlessly between priorities, technologies, parts of the stack, from low-level implementation to high-level strategy - without missing a beat.
Teacher - Collaboration & Mentorship
- You bring others with you. You share context, give thoughtful feedback, and raise the bar for the whole team.

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.
Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech
- Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
