Staff Software Engineer (ChatRWD)

Atropos Health is the developer of GENEVA™ OS , the operating system for rapid healthcare evidence across a robust network of real-world data. We’re looking for a Staff SWE to join the team building ChatRWD! Our product empowers clinicians and researchers to generate high-quality Real World Evidence in minutes.

A successful teammate in this role will be someone who has delivered robust backend systems for complex products. While experience with healthcare data or AI systems are a definite bonus, solid software engineering fundamentals are key. You’ll be responsible for improving the various technical underpinnings of ChatRWD; specifically, you’ll build and refine the services and pipelines that translate free-text medical questions into statistically validated clinical research.

• 5+ years experience as a software engineer, with a focus on backend systems

• Expertise in Python

• Experience with databases and cloud tooling (Postgres, AWS, Terraform, etc.)

• Demonstrated delivery of complex technical projects, particularly those that require cross-functional collaboration

• Familiarity with healthcare is great, but experience in any complex data system counts!

• Bonus points for experience with domain-specific query languages, NLP, or mapping from unstructured to structured data

• Bonus points for experience with LLMs, ML models, OpenSearch, or AI pipelines

The Senior Software Engineer (ChatRWD) reports directly to  Adam Stasiw.
