We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to design and scale the APIs and systems that power Foley’s partner ecosystem. You will build reliable, secure, and scalable integrations while helping evolve our platform, infrastructure, and engineering practices.

What you’ll doAPI & System DesignDesign and build scalable APIs and integration workflows that power partner-facing products
Develop secure, reliable distributed systems with a focus on performance and resilience
Contribute to our MuleSoft-based API platform and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker)
Improve system scalability, observability, and fault tolerance across services
Enhance CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows to increase speed and reliability
Write clean, testable code and contribute to best practices in system design and architecture
Partner with product, engineering, and external teams to deliver high-impact integrations
Support partner onboarding through stable, well-documented APIs and developer-friendly experiences
Experience building APIs and distributed systems, with strong understanding of integration patterns
Proficiency in C#, .NET, Java, or similar backend technologies
Solid system design fundamentals (scalability, fault tolerance, messaging, reliability)
Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, or similar)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and automated testing
Experience with microservices architecture
Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus)
Experience building or supporting external-facing APIs or SaaS platforms
Location: This role is primarily remote (U.S.-based), with the expectation of occasional visits to our offices for team collaboration, training, or company events.
