This is a full-time, onsite role at our Sunnyvale, CA office. This position is not eligible for remote work. Role summary:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the delivery of scalable software solutions by managing feature implementation, testing, and ongoing support within collaborative teams. This role requires expertise in multiple programming languages and a strong focus on software lifecycle execution, including CI/CD and automated testing. You will integrate AI/ML components to enhance system capabilities while ensuring technical excellence and alignment with platform objectives. Your responsibilities include mentoring peers, driving continuous improvement, and collaborating across functions to deliver high-quality, reliable software that meets business and user needs.
  About the team:
Our team develops and maintains robust distributed systems supporting Walmart’s eCommerce and supply chain operations by processing high transaction volumes per second. We focus on capturing and analyzing transaction histories from multiple sources to efficiently identify and address potential disruptions. Emphasizing scalable platform design, iterative development, and continuous delivery, we ensure real-time, accurate information for clients. Collaboration and technical expertise drive our efforts to build reliable solutions that enhance operational performance and customer experience across Walmart’s digital ecosystem.
  What you'll do:
  • Analyze and classify requirements to align with business and technical objectives, ensuring comprehensive scoping and estimation.
  • Design scalable software solutions by evaluating trade-offs and converting high-level designs into detailed functional modules.
  • Develop maintainable, testable code adhering to coding standards and security policies across multiple platforms and languages.
  • Create and execute test cases to identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and support regression testing.
  • Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet customer and business needs while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven expertise in software architecture, scalable distributed systems, and design patterns.
  • Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming and coding standards using languages such as JavaScript, Python, or C.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, automation scripting, and telemetry implementation.
  • Ability to analyze and translate business requirements into detailed technical designs and user stories.
  • Skilled in code review, debugging, defect management, and ensuring high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies, tools, and defect lifecycle processes.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and commitment to delivering secure, high-availability software solutions.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
