Role Summary:

As a leading provider of software technologies for software-defined vehicles, Sonatus is seeking a highly motivated Software Integration Engineer to join its fast-growing team. In this role, you will be part of the team responsible for software integration and prototype development, interacting directly with customers to solve pressing problems and apply your skills to build impactful solutions. You will play a crucial part in shaping the industry and scaling the company's products and business.

Responsibilities:
  • Integrate embedded software modules and SDKs into automotive vehicle platforms, and develop Proof of Concept (POC) prototypes for in-vehicle solution demos.
  • Troubleshooting & Debugging. Identify, analyze, and resolve issues that arise during the software integration and development life cycle, ensuring smooth and reliable software deliverables.
  • Develop and deploy scalable backend services and APIs to support vehicle data communication, software-defined vehicle features, and Over-the-Air (OTA) updates.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers and OEMs, providing hands-on integration support for vehicle systems.
  • Create comprehensive training materials and present solutions through in-vehicle demos to customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our products, solutions, and support meet customer needs and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with 7 or more years of working experience in data communication, networking, or the automotive industry.
  • Solid C/C++ and embedded system programming experience.
  • Experience with Linux, Android, and/or other POSIX operating systems.
  • Experience in cross-compiling embedded software for various software platforms, and able to integrate software SDK/APIs within vehicle software
  • Experience in automotive systems integration, platform-dependent integration and development, multithreading, and concurrent programming.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including cloud-native services.
  • Experience with API integration and testing using scripting languages like Python
  • Experience with automotive software architecture and end-to-end solutions.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Familiar with networking technologies of Ethernet and CAN bus, and communication protocols of TCP/IP, HTTP, and MQTT.
  • Able to travel up to 15% of the time.

The posted salary range is a general guideline and represents a good faith estimate of what Sonatus ("Company") could reasonably expect to pay for a base salary for this position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs. The Company reserves the right to modify this range in the future, as needed, as market conditions change.
