Amentum is seeking a Software/architect with at least 5 years of experience in software development to support Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) development teams in Dahlgren, Va.

Software Architect Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing direct support to the CPS SW lead SPC423 for CPS tasking

  • Working with Government personnel to ensure alignment of SW development with the overarching SW Roadmap leading to deployment of CPS

  • Working with government personnel to determine transition paths for the Software Sustainment Activity (SSA) for the following software components: AUR Flight Software, Missile in a Box, Low/Medium Fidelity Simulator, Weapon Control Software

  • Making plans for the transition of Roles and Responsibilities as determined by SSA Plan and ensure integration into SPC Contracts & Acquisition Plans.

  • Aiding in generating plans for how to ramp up our software teams to support critical activities in the next few years

  • Supporting personnel in the development of the SSA Plan to be delivered to SPC at the end of FY25.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Five years of applicable software development process related experience as well as applicable experience in development and leading software development teams.

  • Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical Bachelor's degree or related experience
