Pixi Inc. | Los Angeles, California | On-site Role

About Pixi

Pixi Beauty is a globally recognized beauty brand with a distinctive point of view and a deeply engaged community. As one of the fastest growing independent beauty brands, Pixi has built a strong worldwide reputation and continues to shape the industry through product-led storytelling, creativity, consistency and thoughtful innovation at a global scale.
The Role

The Senior Social Media Coordinator is a high-accountability execution role within the Creative Digital Marketing team, responsible for translating creative direction into scalable, consistent, and high-performing social execution and operational rigor across all platforms with enthusiasm and discipline.

This is a content-driven, systems-aware role requiring deep fluency in social media and the beauty landscape, excellent execution skills under clear creative leadership, and the ability to operate with urgency. A refined visual eye, strong photography/videography skill and the ability to plan and deliver content at scale, and a full understanding of AI-driven content creation for ideation, efficiency, and optimization are essential. This role will facilitate and present for final decisions and approvals by the Creative Director.

Key Responsibilities & Performance Standards

  • Create and propose high-quality social content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat, and emerging platforms, aligned with Pixi’s brand voice, visual standards, and creative direction.
  • Post-production & content finishing: Strong hands-on ability to retouch, edit, and refine social content to a publish-ready standard, including light photo retouching, video editing, color correction, and formatting using industry-standard tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, and native platform editing tools.
  • Content calendar management and execution, ensuring timely, consistent, and strategic scheduling and posting across all channels in line with established standards. At Pixi we always stay 60 days ahead.
  • Prepare and submit shot lists, creative briefs, and content proposals for approval ahead of campaigns, launches, and shoots.
  • Translate creative direction into executable content with precision, ensuring consistency with Pixi and POP brand ethos, tone, and visual identity.
  • Manage and optimize platform presence, proactively adapting execution in response to algorithm changes, new features, and emerging formats.
  • Own final content readiness prior to publish, including fact checking accuracy, formatting, timely approvals, and risk awareness.
  • Troubleshoot execution issues in real time and proactively escalate with clear solutions when systems, platforms, or timelines shift.
  • Foster and nurture the Pixi community through thoughtful, timely engagement across comments, messages, and feedback.
  • Own planning accuracy and workflow execution across internal systems, including Planner, FS, SMWF, Brandwatch, and PDL.
  • Apply performance learnings to continuously refine content formats, cadence, and execution over time.
  • Use AI tools confidently and responsibly to support ideation, caption development, trend analysis, reporting synthesis, and workflow optimization.
  • Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation of workflows, best practices, and learnings to support continuity and onboarding.
  • Track, analyze, and report performance on a weekly and monthly basis, translating insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Execute with awareness of global markets, time zones, and regional handoffs to ensure consistent and timely delivery.
  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and proactively, surfacing risks, progress, and recommendations without requiring leadership follow-up.
  • Partner closely with Creative, Growth Marketing, Ecommerce, and leadership teams to ensure alignment across initiatives.
  • Identify workflow gaps and propose improvements to strengthen continuity, scalability, and operational resilience.
  • All other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualified applicants ideally have a clear understanding of and interest in the beauty industry as well as a minimum of 4 years of social media experience within a professional environment.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
