About the Role:
The ServiceNow Developer will support the design, development, and implementation of solutions on the ServiceNow platform, including custom applications, integrations, and workflow automation.
This mid-level developer role focuses on delivering high-quality code, building scoped applications, and supporting CI/CD movements between environments. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer with strong communication skills, the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams, and a proven track record of building scalable ServiceNow solutions in enterprise or federal environments.
This position requires U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a Public Trust clearance. The developer will participate in a live coding challenge (JavaScript or Java) as part of the interview process.
Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and deploy custom applications and solutions within the ServiceNow platform.
- Support the creation and configuration of scoped applications, Service Catalog items, and Flow Designer workflows.
- Support the design and development of locally developed applications (LDAs).
- Provide guidance and mentorship to citizen developers.
- Lead and execute integrations with external systems.
- Manage the movement of ServiceNow components, collections, and deployables in the CI/CD pipeline.
- Implement, integrate, configure, and develop custom applications on the ServiceNow platform.
- Work closely with the ServiceNow Architect to conduct code reviews, provide proofs of concept, and facilitate product demonstrations.
- Perform development activities, including troubleshooting, coding/scripting, and configurations of moderate to high complexity.
- Map business services and requirements to ServiceNow capabilities.
- Administer, deploy, and manage USCIS systems and PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS platforms using a privileged user account.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer.
- At least one current CIS (Certified Implementation Specialist) certification.
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations, ITSM, and scoped applications.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines in a ServiceNow environment.
- Strong team player with excellent client-facing communication skills.
- Experience with the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with custom application development best practices.

Basic Requirements:
- 3+ years of technical experience designing, developing, and deploying secure, scalable cloud or platform solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN AND RESIDE IN THE U.S. All work must be performed in the U.S.
- Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Public Trust U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as this work is for a federal government client. Candidates will need to successfully complete a Background Investigation (BI) and credit check prior to beginning work. Nothing in applicants’ history should prevent them from obtaining a public trust security clearance.
