ABOUT THE TEAM
As part of the Marketing & Strategy insights team, segment marketing managers own the go-to-market strategy for one of our defined audiences. In this role, you’ll focus on collecting and translating market, competitor, and customer insights into thoughtfully designed & orchestrated marketing campaigns that activate & engage both prospects and existing customers.
YOUR MISSION
You will lead go-to-market and lifecycle strategies for the R&D segment - targeting users in product management, engineering, UX, and design. You’ll own the full buyer and customer journey for this audience, bringing a data- and insight-driven approach to growing engagement, adoption, and value realization. This is a highly cross-functional role, partnering closely with Product, Sales, Lifecycle, and Design to create targeted campaigns and programs that resonate with R&D teams and the way they work.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Own marketing strategy for R&D use cases (e.g., agile planning, sprint retros, design workshops).
Develop personas, messaging, and journey maps for product managers, engineers, UX, and design leaders.
Partner with Product, Lifecycle, and Sales to build cohesive campaigns that connect product launches, adoption programs, and customer success motions.
Lead demand generation, thought leadership, and retention initiatives that engage R&D audiences across the customer lifecycle.
Track and analyze product usage, engagement, and lifecycle health for the R&D cohort to identify opportunities for deeper value realization.
Serve as the voice of the R&D segment, surfacing customer insights, feedback, and trends to influence go-to-market strategy and product roadmaps.
SaaS experience is required (familiarity with SaaS metrics, digital channels, and product-led growth models).
7+ years in B2B marketing, with proven experience building integrated campaigns for technical audiences.
Experience marketing to R&D, product, engineering, or design teams; ability to understand their workflows, tools, and priorities.
Strong research skills—comfortable conducting both quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform strategy.
Exceptional project and stakeholder management skills, able to lead cross-functional initiatives end-to-end.
Excellent communicator and storyteller, able to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives.
Comfortable experimenting with new approaches, including the use of AI tools to improve efficiency and insight generation.
The base salary for this role ranges from $130,000 - $160,000 + bonus + benefits. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
