We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our Salesforce CRM Systems team in delivering innovative, scalable solutions that drive business growth and operational excellence. This strategic leadership role combines hands-on technical expertise with team management, requiring someone who can architect enterprise-level Salesforce solutions while mentoring high-performing development teams. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping our CRM strategy and ensuring seamless integration across our technology ecosystem.
As Senior Manager of Salesforce CRM Systems, you will oversee the design, development, and optimization of our Salesforce platform. This role requires a leader who can balance strategic thinking with technical execution, managing complex projects while fostering innovation and collaboration across cross-functional teams. You'll be responsible for establishing best practices, driving major initiatives, and ensuring our Salesforce platform evolves to meet the dynamic needs of our sales, finance, and operations teams.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor team of Salesforce Developers, Administrators, CPQ Engineers.
- Manage team capacity planning and resource allocation to meet project demands
- Design, develop, test, and document high-quality Salesforce solutions using Apex Classes, Triggers, Lightning Web Components, VisualForce Pages, and Aura Components
- Create individual development plans to support career growth and skill advancement
- Conduct regular performance reviews and create individual development plans
- Manage capacity planning, resource allocation, hiring, and onboarding processes
- Foster culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability
- Optimize quoting, pricing, and order management processes
- Support end-to-end sales operations workflows and Deliver solutions that streamline complex sales cycles
- Maintain data integrity across integrated platforms
- Partner with sales, finance, operations, and product teams to understand business requirements
- Collaborate with engineering teams including product, information security, DevOps, and infrastructure
- Stay current with Salesforce platform advancements and AI technologies
- Implement development best practices across the organization & Ensure platform reliability and security
What You’ll Bring
- 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, including expertise in Apex Classes, Triggers, Lightning Web Components, and enterprise integrations
- 5+ years of technical leadership experience managing Salesforce development teams, with proven ability to recruit, hire, onboard, and develop technical talent
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities with experience presenting to executive audiences
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
- Collaborative mindset with experience working across cross-functional teams
- Strategic thinking capabilities with ability to align technical solutions with business objectives
- Mentorship experience with a track record of developing technical talent
- Extensive experience with Salesforce implementation, including complex pricing models, usage-based billing, and enterprise system integrations with ERP, CRM, and billing platforms
- Strong background in test automation frameworks and enterprise application integration patterns
- Proven experience conducting performance reviews, providing constructive feedback, managing career development conversations, and implementing team improvement initiatives
- Deep expertise across the Salesforce technology stack including declarative automation tools, modern web technologies, and DevOps practices for Salesforce environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities with experience presenting technical solutions to executive audiences and collaborating across cross-functional teams
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously, including resource planning, timeline management, and strategic alignment with business goals
- Experience with AI integration and emerging Salesforce AI capabilities, along with ability to leverage internal AI solutions to drive productivity improvements
- Strategic thinking capabilities with mentorship experience and a track record of developing technical talent, promoting team members, and fostering innovation and collaboration within high-performing teams
About the team
The Enterprise Applications team is responsible for GitLab’s critical business applications including ServiceNow, Salesforce, Zuora, Netsuite and many others. This team will be an important part of GitLab’s ability to scale as an organization.This includes introducing new systems features and capabilities while maintaining the existing production environment for scalability and compliance.

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of the United States only. This range is intended to reflect the role's base salary rate in locations throughout the US. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, alignment with market data, and geographic location. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary.
