Role Overview:

As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you are responsible for the design, development, and optimization of our Salesforce platform to meet the evolving needs of our business. In this role, you leverage your deep understanding of Salesforce architecture and best practices to build scalable solutions that enhance user experience and drive operational efficiency. You work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and marketing, to gather requirements, develop custom applications, and integrate Salesforce with other systems. Your expertise ensures that our Salesforce environment is robust, secure, and capable of supporting our long-term business objectives.

What you do each day:

  • Design and develop custom solutions on the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components
  • Think outside the box when it comes to problem solving, ready to dig and research to find the best solution possible
  • Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications
  • Implement and maintain Salesforce integrations with other systems and applications
  • Optimize and refactor existing code to improve performance and maintainability 
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the Salesforce platform by implementing best practices and adhering to compliance standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the Salesforce environment
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation and training materials for end-users

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with Salesforce platform, including extensive development experience
  • Proficiency in Apex, Lightning components, Visualforce, SOQL, and Salesforce APIs
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce architecture, including custom objects, workflows, Process Builder, Flows, and Apex triggers
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, and other middleware tools
  • Familiarity with deployment tools such as Change Sets, Ant scripts, Metadata API, and experience with CI/CD pipelines

  • Proven experience in full lifecycle Salesforce implementations, from design to deployment
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex -technical issues
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Location Dependent Information

This role is open to candidates and the expected salary range for this role is $104,000-$130,000 + Equity. The specific salary for the successful candidate will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible to participate in Housecall Pro’s equity plan and the following benefits: health care insurance (medical, dental, vision, disability), employee assistance program, 401(K), flexible time off, paid parental leave, tech reimbursement, and other company benefits.
