As a Senior Cybersecurity Sales Engineer at Dataminr, you will be one of the most important members of the Dataminr sales team, serving as a trusted advisor to Account Executives, Sales Specialists, as well as our current and future customers. A security-focused technical liaison and subject matter expert on all things Dataminr, you will get to develop and share compelling stories that will excite your customers and have them eager to hear more. This role can be fully remote for candidates based anywhere in the US.

The Opportunity 

  • Helping to uncover the business impact of the Dataminr solution value to a customer and supporting customer proof of value (POV) efforts
  • Delivering cybersecurity solutions that solve technical challenges and influence new business initiatives.
  • Developing tailored presentations and demonstrations to paint the art of what’s possible with Dataminr products, articulating use cases and value to customers and prospects.
  • Collaborating closely with the Post-Sales Customer Success organization to support solution design, POCs for expansion efforts, integrations, and related implementations.
  • Developing and delivering training presentations to peers, Account Executives, and other teams within Dataminr.
  • Occasionally assisting in technical training and presenting at or attending industry seminars and/or trade shows.
  • Participating in selling the value of Dataminr through recorded presentations, live online, and in-person product demonstrations.
  • Mentoring new team members in multiple areas including sales process, and relationship management with both customers and our internal sales organization

What you Bring

  • 6+ years of hands-on technical experience, either as a Solutions/Sales/Systems Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Security Engineer or senior-level product support in the technology industry with large Public Sector and/or Commercial Enterprise clients/organizations.
  • History of conducting large-scale assessments and/or evaluations, including managing expectations, deliverables, and complex systems as well as the teams that support them.
  • Creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, or technical validation engagements.
  • Experience in data integration implementation and the ability to architect integrated solutions with third-party products.
  • Experience in Cyber Security and SaaS platforms. 
  • Knowledge of malware, threat intelligence, and/or sandbox analysis.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CEH,OSCP, and SANS or participating in security events such as capture the flag.
  • Familiarity with risk and compliance products such as Vulnerability Management, External Attack Surface Management, Breach and Attack Simulation, etc
  • Comfortable presenting to teams and/or individuals including technical staff through C-suite.

The annual base salary range for this position is $ 140,000 - $165,000. Actual salary will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, applicant skills, and prior relevant experience.

In addition to the benefits set forth above, the compensation package for this role also includes an annual commission target of $60,000 - $69,000 based on the terms of the applicable sales incentive plan.
