Senior Sales Account Executive – Wholesale, Technology Vertical  

 

Role Overview 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Account Executive to join our Wholesale Technology Vertical team. This high-visibility role is focused on driving sales within the technology sector. The position involves managing existing strategic accounts while proactively acquiring new business opportunities with major technology firms. The ideal candidate is a technically savvy self-starter with a challenger mindset. The role reports to the Head of Tech Sales and will contribute significantly to achieving Telstra International’s growth ambitions.  

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Meet quarterly and annual revenue, growth, and new business acquisition quotas. 

  • Develop and execute a strategic go to market plan.  

  • Manage and grow existing relationships while actively pursuing new business opportunities within the technology vertical. 

  • Deliver strategic sales solutions leveraging our global telecommunications offerings, particularly in subsea network transport, IP transit, datacenter, metro and dark fiber. 

  • Target and engage large-scale tech companies, including: 

  • Cloud providers 

  • SaaS / PaaS  

  • AI Infrastructure  

  • Content/Social Media  

  • Datacenter  

  • Gaming  

  • CDNs  

  • Security  

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction. 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales forecasts, pipelines, and CRM records. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 3 years (5+ years preferred) of successful sales experience in digital infrastructure, telecommunications, network infrastructure, datacenter, and/or relevant technology sectors. 

  • Proven track record in wholesale network solution sales, particularly with subsea networks and IP transit solutions. 

  • Experience selling into the APAC region is strongly preferred; experience in other global markets will also be considered. 

  • Strong relationships and established networks within the technology sector are highly desirable. 

  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills. 

  • Highly driven, self-motivated professional with a demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced environment. 

 

Salary range: 
 
140k-170k USD + Eligible to receive 66.67% at-risk component
