The Senior Account Director is responsible for customer relationships and overall account strategy within a defined deck of Five9’s largest strategic named accounts. The Senior Account Director’s primary responsibilities include driving expansion opportunities of Five9 and partner products and services, retaining and growing revenue within the assigned accounts, minimizing churn, and leading a supporting account team of Customer Success Managers, Solution Consultants, Technical Account Managers, Service Delivery Managers, Customer Support, and Managed Services resources to drive customer business outcomes and create perpetual client relationships.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Create and drive revenue growth within specified account(s) 
  • Generate expansion opportunities through professional networking, building stakeholder relationships, understanding of customer business challenges and positioning Five9 and/or partner solutions 
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas 
  • Maintain account and opportunity forecasting within internal forecasting system (SFDC) 
  • Understand and leverage Five9 sales methodology framework (SPICED) 
  • Develop and maintain account business plan  
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and retention, leveraging supporting teams to understand and resolve customer challenges 
  • Lead and direct supporting account team (dotted line) 

Key Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 12 years of successful experience in sales, with a track record of exceeding targets, preferably in CCaaS and/or SaaS with agent count of 2,000+ 
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced, rapid change environment 
  • Success selling at the C-level 
  • Documented track record of sales excellence 
  • Superior professional presence and business acumen 

 

Work Location: This role is fully remote for candidates who reside outside the 50 mile radius of our San Ramon office.  For candidates who reside within 50 miles of our San Ramon location, this role is Hybrid and would require 3 days a week (M, W, TH) in our San Ramon office.

The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the job across the United States. Additionally, the total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, stock, and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.

All compensation and benefits are subject to the requirements and restrictions set forth in the applicable plan documents and any written agreements between the parties.

The US base salary range for this role is below.
$91,000$176,300 USD
