The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Join a small systems group that gets autonomy software running reliably on heavy vehicles already operating in production. You will drive hands-on technical work to bring additional vehicle types online and partner with neighboring engineering and operations groups.
What you'll do
- Validate autonomy features on real vehicles and help them mature from early prototypes into dependable production performance.
- Take responsibility for how hardware, onboard computing, communications and software fit together while vehicles are under test.
- Lead the technical effort when a new vehicle type is added, including sensor setup, calibration and tuning.
- Create diagnostic tools and quality checks that decide when a release is ready for a growing international fleet.
- Work alongside engineering, operations and safety colleagues to deliver dependable vehicle behavior in demanding industrial settings.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of experience deploying autonomy and integrating systems on real vehicles.
- A track record of launching new robotic or vehicle platforms, from early build through to production use.
- Familiarity with perception interfaces and camera pipelines.
- Bachelor's degree in robotics, computer science, electrical engineering or a related field.
- Strong Python and C++ programming skills.
- Experience with Linux-based robotics systems.
- Comfort with sensor fusion, calibration workflows or CAN interfaces.
- Ability to work on-site five days a week and travel up to 15% to customer sites.
