Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as SME for 5G device requirements, test plans, and features, including
    Domestic/International Roaming and 3GPP/non-3GPP handovers
  • Write and articulate key requirements/test plans for Roaming, providing technical
    expertise for debugging with Network Engineering, OEMs, and vendors
  • Collaborate with third-party testing vendors, OEMs, and partners to define and align roaming roadmaps with DISH Wireless objectives
  • Support the launch of Roaming features, including PoCs and trials, while mapping long-term strategies to meet business goals
  • Possess deep expertise in areas such as L2/L3 protocols, carrier aggregation, E2E call flows (VoNR, EPS Fallback, handovers), and IMS/SMS/MMS
  • Self-motivated team player with strong communication skills, capable of presenting to executives and working cross-functionally


Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Telecommunications Engineering (Masters or PhD preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in the wireless telecom industry with a service provider, and/or device OEM architecting and deploying end-to-end cellular services to connected devices
  • 5+ years in deep technical role, as an engineer/architect


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of device requirements, test plans, and end-to-end solutions for 4G/5G architecture across RAN and Core network
  • Familiarity with 3GPP & GSMA standards and associated 4G/5G Radio Access Networking technologies
  • Proficiency with 4G/5G device services (e.g. IMS/ SMS/ RCS/ eUICC /SIM/ OTA-DM/ VoLTE/ VoNR/ VoWiFi/ e911/ RTT/ CMAS) and associated device chipset and core networking architectures and technologies
  • Curious mindset striving for continuous learning and innovation
  • Proven problem solving skills; verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Experience in a high-availability, fast-paced environment


Salary Ranges
Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $137,500.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
