Your Role

As a Senior Revenue Accountant at Zip, you will be a key pillar of our finance team, responsible for the integrity of our revenue recognition processes. You will manage the end-to-end revenue cycle, ensure compliance with ASC 606, and provide actionable insights into our top-line growth. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building scalable processes from the ground up.

You Will
  • Review customer contracts and determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606, including documenting nonstandard terms.

  • Own key area of the monthly and quarterly close; including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

  • Collaborate with the Product and Operations to ensure data relied upon for revenue accounting is complete and accurate.

  • Support external and internal audits by providing documentation, analysis, and explanations of revenue-related transactions.

  • Drive process improvements and automations within the revenue recognition cycle to enhance efficiency and scalability.

  • Prepare ad-hoc revenue analyses for management to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience; public accounting experience preferred

  • Strong, in-depth understanding of GAAP (specifically ASC 606) and the proven ability to research technical accounting topics.

  • Attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel is required

  • Experience with Netsuite or other ERP systems is a plus

  • Proven ability to quickly learn and work with various software platforms

The salary range for this role is $115,000 - $145,000. The salary for this position is determined based on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant experience, education, or particular skills and expertise.
