We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Revenue Accountant to play a key role within our Revenue Accounting team involving billing activities, accounts receivable (AR) and revenue accounting while ensuring compliance with US GAAP across multiple business units. This role will support the company’s revenue recognition process and policies, daily billing and payment application as well as month-end and year-end close processes. This role will play an integral part in maintaining the financial integrity and optimizing processes in supporting the growing AR and revenue functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- AR & Revenue Reporting and Analytics: Manage the company’s daily billing, accounts receivable, revenue recognition and reporting processes within the company’s financial systems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with RevOps, Finance, FP&A and Operations teams to ensure alignment between revenue management strategies and business objectives.
- Technical Accounting: Ability to read complex contracts/agreements and identify pertinent terms and issues to determine appropriate accounting treatment and validate proper recognition.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities in billing and revenue process improvements and automation to streamline operations for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Timely Close in O2C Cycle: Partner with the Senior Revenue Accounting Manager to ensure accurate and timely delivery of journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis while in accordance with US GAAP.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and insights to facilitate quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Additional Support: Facilitate ad-hoc analysis and projects as required.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, Certified Revenue Management, Masters in Accounting, MBA) is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting, financial reporting or audit with a focus on accounts receivable and revenue recognition. Experience in AgTech, FinTech, or SaaS or high-growth startup business preferred.
Skills:
- Strong proficiency in financial analysis, revenue recognition, and GAAP compliance.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with revenue management software, CRM, and ERP systems (NetSuite and SFDC highly preferred).
- Knowledge of complex billing, AR, and revenue optimization techniques.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in an agile manner, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
