In this exciting role as a Senior Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for the quality engineering support and application of quality engineering principles to new products being developed and brought to market to help treat various types of neurovascular disease states including Ischemic and Hemorrhagic stroke.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Leads, coordinates, and executes technical reliability studies and Design of Experiments (DOE) to evaluate engineering concepts and product performance
Applies Design for Manufacturability and Reliability (DFM/DFR) principles throughout the product development lifecycle
Recommends design improvements, test methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC) strategies to ensure target reliability standards are met
Conducts risk analyses for new designs and manufacturing processes to proactively identify potential failure modes
Compiles and analyzes performance data and process control statistics to identify trends and variables affecting product and process performance
Validates that corrective actions align with established reliability standards and performance expectations
Reviews and analyzes preliminary engineering plans to develop and implement reliability programs that support internal, customer, and regulatory requirements
May create predictive models to identify units, batches, or processes with elevated risk of failure
Recommends and implements design or process changes to enhance overall system and process reliability
Identifies units/batches requiring environmental or accelerated life testing, and determines appropriate sample sizes for statistically valid results
Serves as the Core Reliability and Quality Engineer for Research & Development programs
Oversees Validation & Verification (V&V) activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards

Must Have (Minimum Requirements)

Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Medical Device or related industry
OR advance degree with a minimum of 2years of experience in Medical Device or related industry experience
Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications)
Preferred experience in medical devices, with a strong emphasis on vascular and neurovascular technologies
Proven expertise in product realization and design quality processes
Solid knowledge of medical device standards, including ISO 13485 and ISO 14971 (risk management)
Formal training in quality tools such as Six Sigma, statistical analysis, sampling methodologies, risk assessments, root cause analysis, FMEA, FTA, and DOE
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and build strong professional relationships
Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while maintaining a positive and proactive mindset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation capabilities
Highly self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Strong organizational abilities, with a proven track record of successfully prioritizing and managing multiple tasks/projects
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills driven by logical reasoning and data analysis
ASQ certification in Quality or Reliability is a plus
Experience with software design, maintenance, or continuation engineering, including mobile applications, is an added advantage
