Solace is a healthcare advocacy marketplace that connects patients and families to experts who help them understand and take charge of their personal health

About the Role

As a Generalist Recruiter at Solace, you’ll play a key role in scaling our non-technical teams—owning high-volume recruiting for roles across Customer Experience, Sales, Growth, Marketing, and more. You'll work closely with hiring managers to define role needs, manage fast-paced pipelines, and ensure every candidate has a thoughtful and consistent experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-urgency, early-stage startup environment and can juggle multiple priorities with precision.

About Solace

Healthcare in the U.S. is fundamentally broken. The system is so complex that 88% of U.S. adults do not have the health literacy necessary to navigate it without help. Solace cuts through the red tape of healthcare by pairing patients with expert advocates and giving them the tools to make better decisions—and get better outcomes.

We're a Series B startup, founded in 2022 and backed by Inspired Capital, Craft Ventures, Torch Capital, Menlo Ventures, and Signalfire. Our fully remote U.S. team is lean, mission-driven, and growing quickly.

Solace isn't a place to coast. We're here to redefine healthcare—and that demands urgency, precision, and heart. If you're looking to stretch yourself, sharpen your edge, and do the best work of your life alongside a team that cares deeply, you're in the right place. We’re intense, and we like it that way.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the full-cycle recruiting process for high-volume roles across CX, Sales, Growth, Marketing, and other non-technical functions

  • Partner with hiring managers to scope role needs, build interview processes, and identify top talent quickly and efficiently

  • Drive proactive sourcing strategies across LinkedIn, job boards, employee referrals, and other creative channels

  • Conduct structured interviews and screen dozens of candidates per week with a focus on fast turnaround and quality judgment

  • Maintain and optimize our ATS (Ashby) to ensure strong tracking, coordination, and pipeline hygiene

  • Deliver a consistent, positive candidate experience and ensure timely follow-up and communication throughout

  • Provide real-time feedback to hiring teams and help improve interviewing rigor across functions

  • Continuously refine processes to support scale, including templates, workflows, and reporting

What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of recruiting experience, with a focus on non-technical roles like CX, Sales, Marketing, or Operations

  • Proven success in a high-volume recruiting environment, screening and moving candidates through processes quickly and thoughtfully

  • Startup experience is strongly preferred—especially in fast-paced, early-stage environments

  • Strong communication skills and an eye for candidate experience

  • Experience using ATS platforms like Ashby to stay organized and efficient

  • Resourceful, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple open roles at once

  • Excited to help build exceptional teams and contribute to a mission-driven company

If you're a recruiter who thrives on volume, speed, and high-impact work, we’d love to hear from you.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
