You would have expertise in designing, developing, and supporting user-focused mobile applications for the Android platform.

Location: You will be based out of our Toronto office and will work in a Hybrid/Remote model depending on where you are located.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to Manager, Software Development

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

  • Design, develop and support user-focused mobile-based applications and programs for Android

  • Lead the full stack and lifecycle of key software applications from ideation to execution

  • Create and deliver complex software solutions that have broad organizational and / or client impact

  • Mentor other software developers to support their performance and pass on knowledge

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree required (master’s degree strongly preferred) in Software Engineering, Computer Science or at least 6 years of experience working in software development, design, and / or business intelligence environments including 5 years in Android mobile apps (iOS an asset)

  • Hands-on experience – total fluency - building a mobile app using React Native, JavaScript, TypeScript, Redux on Android (iOS an asset)

  • Proficiency in React Native, (You will be subjected to a deep-dive rigorous design/coding skills testing)

  • Solid ability to code/debug in Java and Kotlin (Swift an asset)

  • Experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Practical experiencing working within an agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban)

  • Fluency in Jira/Confluence – must exhibit an advanced user level

  • Deep understanding of the modern SW dev/maintenance technologies, including CI/CD pipelines, unit tests, branching strategies, app monitoring tools
