About us:

Syndica supplies the most critical applications in Web3 with enterprise-grade RPC infrastructure and developer tools tailored for the Solana ecosystem. Joining our team means you'll be held to a high standard, technically challenged, and grow close to a group of individuals passionate about building new infrastructure technologies.

We are backed by strategic partners, investors, and advisors who are all-in on our mission: Chamath Palihapitiya of Social Capital, Steve Jang of Kindred Ventures, Joe McCann of Asymmetric, Jump Crypto, Coinbase Ventures, Solana Ventures, Circle Ventures, and many more.

About you:

  • You are a talented engineer who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

  • Have 5+ years of experience as a frontend developer and can provide work examples.

  • Substantial experience with React (TypeScript).

  • Have a solid understanding of HTML/CSS best practices.

  • Proven experience in learning new tools and applying that knowledge to maximize performance, safety, time to deliver, and overall quality of work.

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills (i.e. can synthesize complex problems).

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant experience.

Standout Experience:

  • Worked at a developer infrastructure company (i.e. Stripe, Coinbase Cloud, MixPanel, etc.)

  • Proven design ability with a portfolio or links to a website redesign.

  • Have led large-scale projects to revamp or release new products.

About the role:

As a Senior React Engineer, you will be working with other engineers to design, implement, and maintain front-end services that help our users navigate the platform.

The role’s responsibilities require an ability to pursue solutions to problems independent of explicit guidance and adjust those solutions based on feedback or changing circumstances.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, mock, and implement beautiful UI/UX.

  • Ensure product features are built to specification and within target deadlines.

  • Write beautiful, extensible, maintainable, and readable code.

  • Responsible for testing and deploying frontend services.

  • Collaborate with other engineers to implement operational solutions while defining and adhering to industry best practices.

  • Assist in creating documentation for internal and external parties to review changes in the platform.

What does success in this role look like?

  • In three months, you have become one of our go-to frontend developers, working on important platform features and delivering at great speeds. You’ll have taken on independent code review responsibilities and are collaborating on the design of new features.

  • In six months, you have earned the trust of the team and are delivering tasks through the entire SDLC, from design through development with minimal guidance, and are helping to effectively mentor new engineers joining the team.

  • In twelve months, you have established a cadence of predictable, on-time delivery without cutting corners.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
