The Sr. Proposals Capture Analyst is responsible for sourcing opportunities in a global territory.
The position will be responsible for identifying and sourcing opportunities in a global territory
while achieving targeted numbers for lead generation. This role will be accountable for proactive
prospecting, as well as qualifying cross-communicating leads. This document provides an
overview of the required competencies, the core performance and activity requirements, and
samples of the scorecards and dashboards used to monitor performance.
In this role, you will be the frontline ambassador, meticulously scouring the landscape for Requests
for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) issued by potential clients, ensuring our
presence in consideration for their vendor needs. Your primary missions will be two-fold: (1) to
identify, qualify, and engage with prospects, understand their requirements, and coordinate with
internal teams to craft compelling responses to their RFPs/RFIs, and (2) to work with the proposals
team and internal, cross-functional roles to complete the RFPs/RFIs Emburse elects to pursue.

What You Will Do
- Conduct comprehensive research to identify prospects and industries issuing RFPs
- Utilize online tools, industry publications, networking platforms, etc., to gather key info
- Gather insights into prospects’ needs, pains, and priorities as indicated in their RFx
- Demonstrate persistence, following up with prospects to maintain engagement and interest
- Proactively address objections/concerns raised by prospects during the RFx process
- Stay engaged through the decision process, and provide information/clarifications as needed
- Build/nurture relationships with Procurement professionals through regular communication and engagement
- Personalize interactions to each individual's role and responsibilities within the organization, tailoring the messaging accordingly
- Continuously engage with contacts to maintain top-of-mind awareness and strengthen Emburse's position as a preferred potential vendor
- Clearly articulate Emburse’s value proposition and solutions in RFx responses
- Utilize persuasive communication to effectively convey why Emburse is the prospect’s best fit
- Collaborate internally to ensure RFx response clarity and accuracy for all requirements and inquiries
- Support content creation by updating or creating collateral as needed and in collaboration with Sales and Marketing
- Support the broader RFP team needs by completing sales procured RFPs
What You Will Bring
- A Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a research-intensive role, preferably in a sales, capture management, or business development capacity within the B2B SaaS industry
- Demonstrated success in lead generation and prospecting with the ability to generate leads and identify new business opportunities with Procurement personas
- Prior experience with procurement processes and procedures in an RFP/RFI environment, including completing them in a team environment
- Proficiency with office productivity software, such as Microsoft Office or Google’s business suite of software
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Experience with CRM software, preferably Salesforce, and HighSpot, as well as experience with proposal automation tools such as Consensus preferred
- Industry standard certifications such as APMP, CPCM and training for Capture Management preferred
