A Proposal Manager is responsible for proposal development including maintaining schedules, organizing resources, coordinating inputs and reviews, ensuring bid strategy implementation, resolving internal team issues, and providing process leadership. Proposal Managers leverage previous responses and templates while coordinating and soliciting input from cross-functional teams to develop winning proposals.

You must have

  • 3-5 years of experience as an RFP Manager or writing, editing, and coordinating responses to RFPs/RFIs, including government bids (federal, state and local).
  • Experience directly supporting a sales organization, experience in managing a library of information that can be accessed and used easily.
  • Experience working within a technical or engineering organization/knowledge of the high-technology industry is an asset.
  • Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent team player with ability to motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including writing for sales/marketing needs in a technical environment.
  • Experience leveraging CRM tools (i.e., Salesforce) required.
  • Strong project management skills, able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship building skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve to well-judged decisions.
  • A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Professional Certification in Proposal Management (e.g APMP Professional Certification) is highly valued

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and experience with large and complex document formatting techniques
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Project, and Powerpoint 
  • Experience leveraging CRM tools (i.e., Salesforce) required.
  • Strong business writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high regard for accuracy and quality
  • Understanding of financial and legal terms and functions, along with experience working with budgets and schedules (e.g., Gantt charts)
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with changing workload demands

Potential base salary. Does not include bonus OR commission and benefits.

COMPENSATION RANGE: $80,000-$90,000 USD
