Role
We are seeking a highly organized and delivery-focused senior project manager and scrum master specialist to support the continued development and evolution of Sky Road, a state-of-the-art enterprise software solution for the credit management professionals.
This role blends agile facilitation with hands-on project management, ensuring teams deliver high-quality features on time while continuously improving how they work. This senior professional will work closely with Sky Road management and developers to ensure successful implementation of Sky Road product roadmap initiatives along with client onboarding development commitments. Meticulous attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential to this role
- Facilitate cross-functional project planning, timelines, milestones, and delivery tracking
- Coordinate internal Sky Road efforts across engineering, QA, support, and sales teams
- Communicate implementation status, risks, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders and leadership
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Coach teams on agile best practices and continuous improvement
- Remove blockers and help teams maintain focus and momentum
- Foster transparency, accountability, and collaboration across teams
- Partner closely with Head of Sky Road and Sky Road development managers to translate roadmaps and delivery obligations into executable plans
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of product roadmap plans to internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain and optimize agile tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence, or equivalent)
- Establish lightweight, scalable processes that support fast-moving teams
- Track and report on delivery metrics (velocity, throughput, predictability)
QualificationsRequired
- 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Project Manager, or hybrid delivery role
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
- Proven experience managing cross-functional software or data product teams
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills
- Ability to balance structure with flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prepare and present to executive leadership
- Experience working on SaaS, fintech, or data-driven platforms
- Comfort working with distributed or remote teams
- Background partnering closely with product and engineering leadership
- Based in Chicago area and able to participate in weekly collaboration days in Naperville, IL
- Undergraduate Degree

As a result, compensation may vary within and across similar roles and positions. Please note that the salary range information below is a good faith estimate for this position and actual compensation for any individual may fall outside this range if warranted by the circumstances applicable to that individual. If we identify a role that would be suitable for a broader range of skills and experience such that we would consider hiring at multiple levels then the range listed below may reflect that breadth.
The salary range estimate for this position is $120,000 - $140,000.
The actual compensation will be at Octus' sole discretion and will be determined by the aforementioned and other relevant factors.
