How you’ll LEAD:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Project Manager (PM) to be part of UMG’s Global Data Management and Platform Development team. The Senior PM supports efforts to evolve our eCommerce, direct-to-consumer marketing, and marketing technology suite of products, namely our Customer Data Platform (CDP). The PM is responsible for driving continuous operational excellence in delivering capabilities aimed at providing the best Customer Data Platform and supporting our reporting and advanced analytics needs.

You will provide leadership and guidance to technology teams based on business objectives and strategic direction for our direct-to-consumer (D2C) businesses and other enterprise data and analytics needs, including evolving AI capabilities. This role will manage the technical aspects of design, configuration, optimization, and continuous improvement of the CDP.

This candidate must have proven experience with managing Big Data type projects. Project delivery experience should encompass CDP (Customer Data Platform) technology solutions, Martech systems, & Big Data management. The role is also expected to interface with 3rd-party Professional Services teams and internal business stakeholders across Audience Development, Global Marketing Tech, Data Engineering, Paid Media, etc.

How you’ll CREATE:

  • Establish and implement project management templates, processes, and methodologies to ensure CDP projects are delivered on time and within budget while adhering to high-quality standards and meeting stakeholder expectations.
    • Understand marketing and business use cases and how they impact technical implementation and the overall project.
    • Managing the addition of new data sources and activation channels to the Customer Data Platform to enable identified use cases
    • Enable the platform to support agentic solutions for personalization and advanced analytics.
    • Maintain proper data governance and user access control policies and guardrails for enterprise usage of the platform
    • Scaling the framework to new labels, artists, and use cases
  • Build project plans and work assignments; direct and monitor work efforts daily.
  • Identify resource needs, perform quality reviews, and appropriately escalate functional, quality, and timeline issues.
  • Coordinate communication throughout the enterprise for items that impact the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed.
  • Organize and maintain a centralized repository and announcements (release notes, new capabilities, etc.) to internal teams and business stakeholders.
  • Streamline processes, simplify execution, track, and manage quarterly goals, releases, and tooling efficiencies.
  • Work closely in partnership with:
    • Product Management to understand upcoming roadmap priorities
    • Global business stakeholders from marketing, tech and business operations
    • Engineering to establish the architectural runway needed to achieve the global product roadmap and operational scalability of the platform
    • Product & Engineering Support to ensure Severity 1 and 2 production issues are resolved quickly and a root cause analysis is conducted and communicated to stakeholders when applicable
  • Work across multiple time zones with distributed international teams.
  • Collaborate with other development teams, and enterprise architecture & support teams to design, develop, test, and maintain a cloud data platform.
  • Communicate the status of data products and backlog readiness to outside team members.
  • Create best practices for team members to follow to meet key objectives of the platform.

Bring your VIBE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ years of project management experience in software or product development with an increasing level of responsibility, preferably in a product organization, Digital Marketing, Martech, or AdTech
  • Capable of earning trust and influencing stakeholders without formal authority to achieve required results
  • Experience working in a complex, matrixed environment, managing multiple stakeholders, with demonstrated experience delivering within an agile framework
  • Skilled listener and communicator, both verbally and written, who can engage colleagues and stakeholders with confidence
  • Experience in troubleshooting issues with excellent problem-solving skills, including appropriate communication and resolution
  • Comfortable working in an adaptive environment where change is embraced and priorities shift due to industry, product, or user needs
  • Experience with Enterprise-level Martech or Data Management is a must
  • Experience with Enterprise-level Customer Data Platforms is preferred.
  • Proficient with collaboration tools, including Atlassian Jira and Confluence, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is preferred.
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework is a plus
  • Experience in Personalization Marketing is a plus
