The Opportunity:
The Research Operations’ Project Manager acts as the single point of contact for assigned projects and is responsible for all aspects of change management related to those projects. You will take projects from the original concept through completion by developing and directing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. This individual will conduct project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis as well as ensuring adherence to quality standards and reviewing project deliverables to ensure compliance with current business procedures.
The Project Manager will also support assigned scientific and executive meeting management in collaboration with various departments and stakeholders, including departmental VPs/business partners, finance, conferences and events, site services, procurement, and/or IT. This role also supports research-sponsored events or programs, as assigned. Duties are varied and complex, often involving Research, analysis, and solution development to assist Research leadership in implementing strategic direction.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage multiple projects (schedules, resources) to ensure timely results that achieve stated objectives. Specifically includes directing local implementation of global strategies, cross-functional continuous improvement teams, and/or selected development/business area projects as directed by the manager.
Oversees the tracking and reporting of key project success measures. Provides feedback to the organization (such as project risks, deviations, potential corrective actions), determines resource allocation, and develops corrective actions. Oversees the interrelationships between projects being executed in parallel.
Support the logistics for the Research Executive, Scientific, and/or Operational committees, meetings, and programs. Tasks may include, but are not limited to, managing, scheduling, drafting agendas, summarizing meeting minutes, AV support, and room setup.
Leads, coaches, and provides training to project teams, new directors, and leadership members on tools, techniques, and systems used to execute projects, and ensures training and communications are developed and implemented in accordance with project needs.
Who You Are:
BA/BS/MS from accredited college or university, with strong background in biological life sciences and advanced degree a plus
3 years of project management experience
At least 3 years of direct experience (regulated industry) in research environment, lab management or operations.
Strong writing/editing, communication, influence, leadership, and change management skills
Preferred:
PMI PMP certification
Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
This position is based in SSF, CA and has an in-office requirement of 3 days/week.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $111,800 to $207,600. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
