As Sr project manager , evaluate and communicate risks and challenges to Product Development and executive leaders. Facilitate cross-functional teams in proposing solutions for multiple development constraints. Propose and execute competitive strategies for project timelines, cost and quality, covering also the project strategies for development, regulatory as well as manufacturing and IP pathways. See ahead clearly and anticipate future consequences and trends accurately, affecting pipeline and project. Support/help team to facilitate key project decisions and also work on establishing governance and processes to fast-track development.
Job Description
Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Define and execute project strategies in alignment with portfolio goals and selection assumptions. Act as project champion; ensure advancement of key project deliverables.
- Define key project risks and establish response plans, considering multiple constraints. Cultivate relationships with Product Development Leadership and other pipeline managers; anticipate and address stakeholder needs. Figure out the processes necessary to get things done and know how to organize people and activities. Use rigorous logic and methods in solving difficult problems with effective solutions;
- Contribute to stakeholder initiatives as a representative for project or Global Project & Program Management.
- Leverage governance structures to progress project activities; ensure timely decision making. Share lessons learned with peers and project management trainees.
- Establish project plan baselines and document assumptions Compile and challenge project schedules with the project team, manage timelines through critical path analysis.
- Describe impact to timeline in scenario planning Monitor completion of key development tasks through milestone completion, quality gates, and stage gating processes.
- Identifies trends among common projects and seeks to align with other project managers and leaders on portfolio strategies. Use project timelines as a tool to drive accountability and escalate inaction. Review timelines for short-, middle-, and long-term project lifecycles
- Establish and control budget for project direct and indirect costs Identify project budget risks and opportunities; adjust budget to create acceleration opportunities for important milestones.
- Describe impact to project budget in scenario planning. Report project budget according to established Sandoz financial cycles
- Education Requirements: Scientific academic degree, preferably in pharmacy, chemistry or biochemistry;
- Project Management professional certification preferred . Languages :Fluent in English
- Experience/Professional Requirements. Experience in Product Development/R&D (5-8 years) and in Project Management (10-12 years).
- Functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.
- Proven experience in managing and leading R&D Projects.
- Report and maintain project data and documents within data bases.
- Facilitate regular and ad hoc project team meetings, ensuring documentation of agendas, minutes, and action so Provide guidance to team by developing clear problem-solving strategies.
- Lead project teams across multiple sites within matrixed organization and resolve conflicts proactively.
- Report project status within project governance.
- Project planning using software to create and update Gantt charts.
- Monitor and control project budget.
- R&D understanding in the broader ecosystem of Generic Pharmaceutical Companies.
- Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with team member and executive stakeholders within matrix organization.
- Experience with working independently and mentoring other project managers.
- Ability to evaluate contribution to organizational goals and adjust plans, if needed. Deals with concepts and complexity comfortably
