Who We Are

Nuro is a self-driving technology company on a mission to make autonomy accessible to all. Founded in 2016, Nuro is building the world’s most scalable driver, combining cutting-edge AI with automotive-grade hardware. Nuro licenses its core technology, the Nuro Driver™, to support a wide range of applications, from robotaxis and commercial fleets to personally owned vehicles. With technology proven over years of self-driving deployments, Nuro gives the automakers and mobility platforms a clear path to AVs at commercial scale, empowering a safer, richer, and more connected future.

About the Role
We are hiring a Staff Program Manager to help lead the execution of critical programs, such as Nuro’s robotaxi partnership. This person will work across engineering, business, and external partner teams to set goals, track milestones, resolve issues, and keep complex work moving forward. The role is a good fit for someone who is highly organized, practical, and comfortable operating at different levels of detail—from solving day-to-day operational issues to helping communicate progress to senior partner leaders. We are looking for someone excited about autonomy, enjoys working on technical topics, and knows how to create simplicity and clarity in complex situations.

About the Work

  • Own program management for one or more of Nuro’s most important partnership programs
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to define goals, align on priorities, and drive execution
  • Build and maintain clear program plans, milestones, risks, and dependency tracking
  • Identify issues early, help teams make tradeoffs, and drive problems to resolution
  • Coordinate across engineering, product, operations, business, and partner teams to keep work moving
  • Create clear updates for leaders and stakeholders on progress, risks, and key decisions
  • Build strong working relationships across Nuro and with external partners
  • Use data and judgment to support decision-making and measure progress over time

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in consulting, program management, strategy, business operations, or related roles
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working with technical teams and learning unfamiliar technical concepts quickly
  • Experience driving execution in ambiguous environments with limited structure
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and focus teams on what matters most
  • Comfortable working with senior internal and external stakeholders

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
