The Work You'll Do:

As a Senior Program Manager – Embedded Partnerships, you will oversee strategic tax compliance integration programs for global ISV and System Integrator partners, managing complex portfolios with multiple concurrent workstreams across various markets and product lines. This role requires exceptional leadership, deep technical expertise in e-invoicing ecosystems, and the ability to orchestrate large-scale, multi-year partner programs that span regulatory, technical, and commercial dimensions.

You will define program strategy, establish governance frameworks, lead cross-functional teams, and serve as the executive interface for our most strategic ISV partnerships. You'll architect program roadmaps that balance partner priorities with regulatory timelines, coordinate delivery across multiple project teams, and drive strategic outcomes that accelerate market penetration and revenue growth. This role demands both strategic vision and tactical execution excellence in navigating complex integration architectures, compliance mandates, and partner ecosystems.

More specifically, you will:

  • Define and execute comprehensive program strategies for ISV partner portfolio, aligning technical roadmaps with business objectives and regulatory timelines across multiple jurisdictions
  • Establish program governance frameworks, including steering committees, decision-making protocols, escalation paths, and executive reporting cadences
  • Lead strategic planning sessions with C-level and VP-level partner stakeholders to define multi-year integration roadmaps and go-to-market strategies
  • Architect portfolio-level resource allocation strategies, balancing competing priorities across concurrent workstreams and partner commitments
  • Drive program-level innovation, identifying opportunities to standardize integration patterns, accelerate time-to-market, and optimize delivery efficiency
  • Navigate complex organizational dynamics within Fortune 500 ISV environments, influencing without authority across engineering, product, compliance, and commercial teams
  • Orchestrate quarterly business reviews with partner executives, presenting program performance, strategic recommendations, and joint success metrics
  • Oversee 5-10+ concurrent project workstreams across multiple partners, markets, and product lines, ensuring coordinated delivery and resource optimization
  • Establish and monitor program-level KPIs including on-time delivery rates, quality metrics, partner satisfaction scores, and revenue impact
  • Lead cross-functional program teams including project managers, technical architects, compliance specialists, and customer success managers
  • Maintain deep expertise in global e-invoicing regulations, compliance mandates, and continuous transaction control (CTC) frameworks across key markets
  • Guide technical architecture decisions for complex multi-tenant integrations, API gateway strategies, and data transformation pipelines
  • Leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance program efficiency, automate reporting processes, and drive data-driven decision making

What We Need From You

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in program management, implementation leadership, or delivery management within SaaS, enterprise software, or consulting environments
  • 5+ years managing complex technology partnerships, partner ecosystems, or multi-stakeholder technology programs
  • 3+ years in people leadership, including building and developing high-performing implementation teams
  • Proven track record leading programs with $5M+ in annual revenue impact and managing portfolios with 10+ concurrent workstreams
  • Deep expertise in e-invoicing standards (Peppol, UBL, CII, EDIFACT), tax compliance technology, and continuous transaction controls (CTC)
  • Moderate understanding of API architectures, integration patterns, webhook implementations, and data transformation frameworks
  • Experience with ERP ecosystems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite) and financial software integration landscapes
  • Demonstrated success navigating complex regulatory environments across multiple jurisdictions (Latin America, Europe, Asia-Pacific preferred)
  • Executive presence with proven ability to influence C-level stakeholders and drive strategic alignment
  • PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or equivalent program management certification strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Proficiency with AI-powered tools for project management, data analysis, and workflow optimization
  • Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with compliance mandates in Brazil (NF-e), Mexico (CFDI), Italy (FatturaPA), or other e-invoicing jurisdictions
  • Background in technical architecture, software engineering, or solutions consulting
  • Experience managing P&L or commercial responsibility for partner programs
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Jira, Azure DevOps, or enterprise project portfolio management tools
  • Understanding of tax compliance frameworks including VAT/GST reporting, withholding tax, and fiscal representation
  • Multilingual capabilities (Spanish, Portuguese, or other languages relevant to target markets)

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
