The Difference You Will Make:

As a Senior Program & Business Operations Lead for the Managed Marketplace, you are entrusted with growing Airbnb’s Stays business. You will incubate new models with the core team and ensure that city by city, we deliver on our value proposition by maintaining the ideal supply and host hospitality, in the right locations, at the right time, with the right quality and at the right price. 

This role involves vision scoping for new approaches to host acquisition and management,  project planning city-by-city sprints, translating in market learnings to scalable frameworks, and close cross functional team collaboration. 

A Typical Day: 

  • Vision: Collaborate with leadership across the organization to shape the vision and identify growth levers. 
  • Project Plan: Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan for experimentation across local markets, focusing on supply recruiting, vetting, merchandising, management and support.
  • City-Level Launch Initiatives: Support city level pilots and synthesize learnings into actionable recommendations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across Product Marketing, Business, Community, Policy and Operations to execute pilots in market and drive definition of quality criteria that deliver meaningful business results.
  • Data-Driven Insights and Playbooks: Analyze insights to build scalable playbooks.  
  • Performance Measurement: Develop scorecards to track the success of initiatives on ensuring transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with leadership and stakeholders, fostering alignment and ensuring progress is clearly communicated across all teams involved.

Your Expertise:

Travel: up to 75% travel both domestic and international  

  • Incubation Experience: 12+0 years of experience building new business models and go-to-market strategies with a demonstrated ability to influence and align functional teams.
  • Operations Expertise: Proven track record of building and scaling new businesses, specifically strong background in leading zero to one initiatives, with operational expertise in rapidly growing local markets. 
  • Strategic and Creative Thinking: Creative problem-solving to address complex challenges and develop innovative solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and foster a culture of strategic thinking. Facilitate brainstorming sessions and workshops to generate new ideas and approaches.
  • Entrepreneurial Execution: Experience in entrepreneurship and moving fast to build from the ground up.  Sets a high pace for the team and has a bias for action. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working independently to execute complex programs.
  • Airbnb Advocate: Self-motivated, proactive, and aligned with Airbnb's values, with a passion for travel and a commitment to acting as a role model for the organization.

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. How We'll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

$200,000$247,000 USD
