At Relativity Space, we have two audacious goals: to build the next great commercial launch company with Terran R and to become America's leading force in additive manufacturing innovation. Both contribute to our long-term vision of creating humanity’s industrial base on Mars, paving the way for interplanetary life to expand the possibilities of the human experience. This journey begins right here on Earth – where we design, build, and fly rockets to deliver customer payloads to orbit. Terran R, our medium-to-heavy lift reusable rocket, fulfills the growing demand for launch capacity, thanks to our iterative approach that accelerates design, testing, and development while minimizing costs. While our groundbreaking research and development in 3D printing pushes the boundaries of large-scale additive manufacturing.

Your journey with us is more than just a job – it’s an opportunity to shape the future of aerospace technology, additive manufacturing, and the human experience alongside a community of passionate, creative individuals. Join us on this extraordinary journey, as we work together to transform our vision into reality.

About the Team:

Supply Chain at Relativity encompasses direct supply management for all Terran-R parts and materials and materials management.  Put simply, we own the value chain from identification of a need to delivery to our internal customer.  The Supply Chain team’s vision is to build a best-in-class, responsive, and data-driven supply chain management organization that is a key competitive advantage for Relativity.  Supply Chain is currently putting that vision into practice through sourcing long-lead parts, production equipment, and infrastructure projects for Terran R production.  We have had numerous accomplishments with high-dollar, impactful projects by collaborating closely with finance, manufacturing, and engineering to deliver excellent value and keep our aggressive Terran R schedule on track.

About the Role:

  • Proactively seeks opportunities to gain positive time on scheduling demands through optimization of business processes
  • Exhibit extreme ownership for monitoring and communicating the location and status of all hardware, kits, and builds on the manufacturing floor
  • Create work orders and perform ERP/MES transactions to systematically pick, kit and validate parts with low to zero errors
  • Self-prioritize and execute autonomously in a dynamic and ambiguous environment, while in parallel providing direction to internal and external teammates
  • Create and own projects from end to end that will positively impact the materials management organization up and downstream of the production control team
  • Collaborating closely with Supply Chain team, Production Planners and Engineering to proactively identify part shortages
  • Align with Engineering on BOM requirements to increase kitting fidelity
  • Identify bottlenecks and provide strategic solutions to rectify reoccurring issues with leadership
  • Actively promote a healthy team dynamic and culture

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Production Coordinator or Expeditor (or similar role)
  • 5+ years of experience with ERP, MES and/or WMS softwares
  • Able to lift up to 35lbs unassisted
  • Excellent communication skills across multiple platforms (email, Slack, etc.)
  • Advanced computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work non-standard shifts, overtime, and weekends as required

Nice to haves but not required:

  • Experience in aerospace or automotive environments
  • Advanced understanding of ERP/MES systems and interdependencies between the two
  • Familiarity with forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
