The Opportunity
Prime Security is building a new category in cybersecurity and we need to communicate to the market why it matters. As our second marketing hire, you won't inherit a playbook, you will be the one building it.
This is a rare chance to lead the product marketing function from the ground up at a well-backed, early-stage company operating at the intersection of AI and security. You'll work directly with our Founders and Head of Marketing to define how the market thinks about agentic security architecture, shaping the narrative, the positioning, and the content that brings it to life.
The Role
We're looking for a product marketer to be the connective tissue between our product, our market, and our customers. This person will need to translate complex AI and security concepts into narratives that resonate with practitioners, influence buyers, and equip our sales team to win.
In this role you will be both strategist and executor. You'll set the messaging direction and then write the battle card. You'll develop the go-to-market strategy and then draft the launch post. You'll counsel our Founders on thought leadership and then ghostwrite the LinkedIn piece. There's no separation between strategy and execution here, and that's exactly what makes it exciting.
You'll thrive in this role if you have deep cybersecurity domain knowledge, a strong point of view on product positioning, strong storytelling chops, and the hunger to build something from scratch in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Voice of the Product: Work with internal and external security experts, as well as our product and engineering team, to translate complex AI and security concepts into compelling narratives that influence our content strategy.
- Messaging & Positioning: Develop and maintain clear product messaging and positioning for our agentic security architecture platform, ensuring content always reflects the sharpest version of our market narrative.
- Content Creation: Build written, video, webinar, demo, and other content that speaks to practitioners in their language and highlights Prime Security’s platform capabilities. Work to distribute the content across marketing and sales channels.
- Founder Thought Leadership: Drive product-centric executive thought leadership by ghostwriting and strategizing for our two founders' personal profiles to build brand authority and audience.
- Sales Enablement: Create battle cards, competitive positioning, demo scripts, and customer success stories that equip the sales team and improve win rates.
- Go-to-Market Support: Contribute product marketing discipline to key initiatives, such as product launches and a website relaunch, ensuring releases are positioned for impact and tied to measurable outcomes.
Requirements
- You have 2+ years of experience in the cybersecurity industry
- You have 3+ years experience in Product Marketing
- Ideally you also have some practitioner experience (you know what it is like to walk in the customer’s shoes)
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and building from scratch in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
- You can define the strategy and execute it yourself, this is not the right fit for someone who only delegates execution
- Ideally you are based in NYC to collaborate from the office 3-days a week, however this is not a firm requirement
Why Join Us?
- Founding Influence: Have a direct hand in shaping company culture and brand DNA.
- Category Creation: Be able to say you were there when this new segment of Cyber was born.
- Rapid Career Growth: As the second marketing hire, you are positioned for rapid leadership as the team scales.
- Compensation: $150K – $195K base salary. Compensation package includes equity and competitive benefits; base salary determined by candidate experience. This role may also be eligible for an equity package (in the form of stock options).
