About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to own strategy and execution for a core area of Jama Connect, a market-leading platform used by organizations building complex, regulated products.

This is a high-impact Senior Product Manager role with meaningful visibility across Product, customers, GTM teams, and leadership.

You will own product strategy for a strategically important area of Jama Connect and help translate customer needs, market signals, commercial context, and GTM insights into product decisions that influence adoption, expansion, differentiation, and long-term business growth.

This is not a backlog-management role. Jama is looking for a product leader who can operate at a higher strategic altitude: someone who can understand the market, engage deeply with customers, synthesize complex inputs quickly, and shape product direction with energy, clarity, and sound judgment.

The right person will have the opportunity to help strengthen how Jama connects Product strategy to customer value, market opportunity, and business outcomes while contributing to the broader evolution of the Product organization.

What You’ll DoProduct Ownership & Roadmap Strategy
  • Own product strategy and execution for a core area of Jama Connect, including both strategic direction and delivery.
  • Define and evolve the product roadmap, balancing customer needs, revenue opportunities, competitive positioning, and technical constraints.
  • Translate ambiguous problems into clear product direction and actionable work.
  • Make and communicate tradeoff decisions with minimal guidance.
  • Partner with Engineering and Design to scope, iterate, and deliver high-impact solutions.
  • Ensure product decisions are grounded in customer value, market opportunity, and business impact.
Commercial Strategy & Business Impact
  • Optimize roadmap priorities for adoption, expansion, competitive differentiation, revenue growth, and long-term product value.
  • Build compelling investment justifications that quantify market demand, customer impact, and business value.
  • Partner with GTM teams, Customer Success, and Product leadership to improve sales effectiveness, customer expansion, and market share growth.
  • Participate selectively in late-stage customer or prospect conversations to unblock adoption, validate market needs, and capture evidence of what closes, saves, or expands business.
  • Translate customer, market, win/loss, and competitive insights into product decisions.
Outbound Product Excellence & Team Enablement
  • Serve as a strong model for outbound product management practices, including GTM collaboration, commercial framing, customer engagement, and sales-informed prioritization.
  • Share frameworks, insights, and methodologies that strengthen the broader Product team’s commercial orientation.
  • Mentor or support other PMs in areas such as go-to-market strategy, win/loss analysis, competitive positioning, and customer-informed product decision-making.
  • Help strengthen the connection between Product, customers, GTM teams, and market opportunity.
Customer Engagement & Market Insight
  • Engage directly with customers and prospects to validate direction, lead discovery conversations, and represent Product credibly with users and executives.
  • Synthesize field insights, win/loss data, competitive signals, and market trends into roadmap priorities and product strategy.
  • Build trust with enterprise stakeholders by understanding customer use cases, business drivers, product workflows, and adoption barriers.
  • Use customer insight to distinguish urgent requests from strategic product opportunities.
AI-Native Ways of Working
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and workflows to accelerate product development, research synthesis, experimentation, and decision-making.
  • Use AI-native workflows to improve speed, quality, and clarity in product discovery, market analysis, prioritization, and communication.
  • Stay curious about how AI can improve product management practices and customer outcomes.
What You’ll Bring
  • Strong, relevant Product Management experience, including demonstrated success as a Senior Product Manager in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, technical platforms, or complex product environments
  • Strong product strategy experience that extends beyond feature delivery or backlog execution
  • Demonstrated success translating customer needs, commercial inputs, competitive signals, and GTM insights into product strategy and roadmap decisions
  • Direct enterprise customer engagement experience, including discovery, validation, executive stakeholder conversations, or customer-facing product strategy
  • Deep understanding of market-facing product practices such as win/loss analysis, competitive positioning, GTM collaboration, commercial framing, and sales-informed prioritization
  • Strong commercial product judgment, including awareness of adoption, expansion, revenue impact, competitive differentiation, product value, and market opportunity
  • Ability to operate with autonomy and ambiguity, make decisions without complete information, and manage competing priorities
  • Proven history of successful cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder influence across Product, GTM, Customer Success, Engineering, Design, and broader leadership
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Intellectual agility, curiosity, and a passion for product strategy
  • Collaborative operating style with the ability to challenge assumptions constructively and influence without authority
Nice to Have
  • Experience in regulated, technical, or complex industries such as semiconductor, industrial and consumer electronics, aerospace and defense, medical devices, industrial technology, automotive, or related markets
  • Experience partnering with UX / Design on customer-facing product decisions
  • Exposure to pricing, packaging, monetization, or enterprise B2B platform business models
Perks and Benefits
  • Virtual first and culturally diverse work environment spanning 8 countries.
  • Ambitious and fun work with a chance to define distinct, company-shaping tangible contributions.
  • Flexible time off and leave programs crafted to meet the needs for your rejuvenation and extra support to cope with life events with a quarterly $75 wellness reimbursement.
  • Comprehensive and affordable medical, dental and vision plans with pre-tax savings accounts and a generous 401(k) employer match.
  • 6+ weeks of paid parental leave to bond with your new family member.
  • Emphasis on learning and development at all levels with a subscription to LinkedIn Learning.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
