We've recently launched an in-house Chewy Ads Platform where vendors can log-in and execute advertising campaigns that enrich pet parent experiences no matter where they're at in their buying journey. Advertising is an essential component of our ecommerce ecosystem and provides a critical growing revenue stream to Chewy.
As a member of the Chewy Advertising team, you'll be responsible for identifying & executing new advertising opportunities that drive the next phase of growth for vendors on Chewy. Along with the demand product team, you will work directly with our vendors, sales, and account management teams. This role combines a deep understanding of advertising technologies, market trends, and user behavior to shape advertiser decision making in our platform.

The base salary range for this role is $141,000 - $225,500.

What You'll Do
Own end-to-end product strategy and execution
- Own the roadmap for a portfolio of AI-driven capabilities, API integrations, and advertiser experiences that guide the full campaign lifecycle and unlock incremental advertiser growth on Chewy.
- Translate business growth objectives into clear product strategy, sequencing, and measurable milestones.
- Build and manage annual and quarterly roadmaps, proactively managing tradeoffs, risks, and dependencies.
Scale AI-driven advertiser experiences
- Lead 0 to 1 development of features that curate campaign strategies, diagnose performance gaps, surface dynamic in-flight recommendations, and distill raw metrics into actionable insights.
- Expand optimization tactics, tools, and differentiated ad capabilities that shape advertiser demand, leading to ideal outcomes for brands, pet parents, and Chewy.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, intuitive, and drive measurable advertiser ROI.
Drive measurable business impact
- Define success metrics and experimentation frameworks tied to incremental attributed ad spend.
- Partner with analytics to design and interpret A/B tests, ensuring data-driven launch and iteration decisions.
- Continuously refine prioritization based on advertiser performance, marketplace dynamics, and revenue impact.
Influence cross-functionally
- Align engineering, design, data science, sales, and marketing teams around a shared growth vision.
- Communicate product strategy and performance clearly and persuasively to VP-level stakeholders.
- Author high-quality product documents (PRFAQs, strategy docs, requirements) that articulate customer value, business rationale, and technical considerations.
Operate confidently in ambiguity
- Bring structure to complex, evolving problem spaces-especially in AI and ad marketplace optimization.
- Balance speed and rigor in decision-making while maintaining long-term strategic alignment.
- Shape broader roadmap conversations by providing clear insights on portfolio-level implications.
What You'll Need
- 5+ years of product management experience in advertising
- Experience building AI/ML-powered features & working closely with data science teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or similar discipline.
- Proven track record for managing and executing large projects across multiple stakeholders with measurable impact from start to finish
- Strong ownership and urgency as guiding principles to drive successful product launches
- Exceptional business acumen, written, verbal, analytical and problem-solving skills
Bonus
- Experience managing products in a retail media context and/or ad campaign management systems.
- Building 0→1 AI features in production environments.
The base salary range for this role is $141,000 - $225,500.
- The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant. C08+ positions may also be eligible for annual bonus.
