About Origin by Prelude

Origin is building the endpoint AI observability platform for AI-adopting organizations. We believe that organizations should not adopt AI on their endpoints without observability in place, and we want to be the platform that maximizes the productivity & safety of that adoption.

The company exists to maximize the diffusion of intelligence inside an organization, maximize the productivity of agentic systems and the humans driving them, keep agent actions traceable end-to-end so that when a user asks for something in a prompt they can verify the agent actually did what was expected, and give organizations one interface to answer the hardest questions they have about how work gets done.

Our platform monitors and protects some of the most important organizations in the world. We are backed by Sequoia Capital, Brightmind Ventures, IA Ventures and other top firms.

Role

We are looking for our first Product Marketer to define and drive our narrative. You will bridge the gap between our world-class security research and the market, translating deep technical innovation into a compelling story that resonates with CISOs and security practitioners.

Responsibilities

  • Own the narrative: Refine our positioning around "Semantic Security" and "Contextual Intent." Clearly articulate why legacy EDR fails in the age of AI agents.

  • Translate technical to commercial: Turn our deep technical research (e.g., ETW internals, kernel-level tradecraft) into accessible, high-impact content (white papers, blogs, sales decks).

  • Go-to-Market strategy: Partner with founders and engineering to lead product launches and drive adoption of our runtime memory protection and agent security capabilities.

  • Sales enablement: Arm our growing sales team with GTM materials, case studies, and competitive intelligence needed to win.

  • Message-market fit: Create clear and adopted narrative across website, deck, and press; message recall in customer interviews.

  • Lead launches & releases: Drive tiered launch planning (GA, feature drops, partnerships) including PR, AR, customer stories, and content.

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ Years of experience: Enterprise security PMM (endpoint, EDR/XDR, runtime/cloud workload, kernel/user-mode tech, or low-level telemetry). Start-up and “first PMM” experience is a plus.

  • Security native: You have a strong background in cybersecurity (Endpoint/EDR experience is a massive plus). You aren't afraid of technical details.

  • Storyteller: You can distill complex topics (like non-deterministic interpreters or context mapping) into clear value propositions.

  • Builder: You thrive in a "0 to 1" environment. You are ready to build the PMM function from the ground up.

  • Technical fluency: You can read our engineering blog and understand not just what we built, but why it matters.

Working at Origin

Origin is a fully remote team across the US & Canada, built on trust, autonomy, and excellence. We empower our team to take ownership, move with purpose, and continuously improve. Our culture values top performers who align with our mission and embrace high standards. We offer generous healthcare, flexible PTO, and home-office support, ensuring our team has the freedom and resources to thrive. While we move fast, we prioritize quality, collaboration, and remain committed to building impactful security solutions with precision.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
