The Role
We are seeking a Product Manager (Integrations) to lead the development and growth of our integration ecosystem — connecting Deputy to payroll, HR, POS, and other partner systems that power our customers’ operations. In this P3-level role, you’ll define strategy, drive execution across multiple teams, and ensure our integrations deliver seamless, reliable data flows between Deputy and external systems. You’ll work closely with the Integrations Engineering squad to turn customer needs into scalable, resilient, and supportable integration capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Ownership
- Define and execute the product strategy for Deputy’s integration ecosystem — including partner connectors, data synchronization, and configuration experiences.
- Prioritize roadmap initiatives based on customer impact, market demand, and business value.
- Balance partner-driven requirements with platform scalability and long-term maintainability.
- Execution & Delivery
- Lead discovery, scoping, and delivery of integration features and improvements across HRIS, payroll, and POS domains.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and design to translate business needs into clear requirements and user stories.
- Ensure each release meets reliability, usability, and data-integrity standards.
- Monitor and analyze product metrics (e.g., adoption, sync success, error rates) to guide prioritization and validate outcomes.
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Engineering, Partnerships, Customer Success, and Support teams to align on shared goals and deliver high-quality integration experiences.
- Represent the customer perspective — ensuring our integrations solve real operational challenges for businesses and their employees.
- Manage stakeholder communication, balancing commercial priorities with technical feasibility.
- Partner & Ecosystem Development
- Collaborate with external partners (e.g., ADP, Paycor, BambooHR, Xero) to shape integration roadmaps, certification standards, and co-marketing opportunities.
- Support the evaluation of build-vs-partner strategies for key data domains.
- Influence and align internal teams to ensure integrations are consistent, supportable, and compliant with Deputy’s global standards.
- Customer Impact & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze customer usage and feedback to identify friction points, gaps, and opportunities for automation.
- Lead initiatives to improve integration health, reduce CUE tickets, and enhance visibility via dashboards and monitoring.
- Communicate impact through metrics, user stories, and success outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field. An MBA or related graduate degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management within a SaaS environment.
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
- Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
