About This Role:

We’re looking for a full-time Senior Product Manager to join our Product team  reporting to the SVP, Atlas. This role is a remote role based in the United States.

In this role, you’ll play a key role in shaping Gainsight’s new Atlas suite, which is redefining how post-sales teams operate by delivering AI-powered autonomous agents that elevate customer success, professional services, and revenue expansion. You’ll do this by taking agents from napkin sketch to in-production usage with Fortune 500 design partners—balancing vision, ruthless prioritization, and hands-on execution in a fast-moving startup environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in building from zero-to-one and enjoys working cross-functionally with design, engineering, and go-to-market teams. The ideal candidate brings strong skills in product strategy, execution, and cross-functional collaboration.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the agent roadmap. Frame the product vision, turn ambiguous problems into hypotheses and MVPs, and maintain a clear, data-backed backlog that ladders to Atlas and Gainsight OKRs.

  • Partner with customers. Conduct discovery with Sales, CS, and Professional Services leaders to deeply understand workflows, pricing sensitivities, and success criteria after the deal closes. Validate solutions via rapid prototypes and live pilots.

  • Drive execution with engineering & design. Write crisp PRDs / specs, craft prompts, and iterate quickly with LLMs and tools like Lovable, Cursor, etc. Facilitate sprint rituals and unblock the team.

  • Measure & iterate. Define success metrics, set up analytics, and run A/B tests to optimize agent performance, usability, and commercial impact.

  • Evangelize & enable. Train Sales and CS on positioning and pricing, craft release notes and demos, and present progress to exec sponsors and enterprise customers.

This is not a complete list of responsibilities, and the scope of the role may evolve with the needs of the team and business.

What We're Looking For:

Must-have skills or experience:

  • 3–5 + years of SaaS PM experience shipping production-grade products (ideally AI/ML-driven) with meaningful user adoption.

  • Ability to speak enterprise post-sales fluently. You’ve built or sold tools for Customer Success, Renewals, Professional Services, or adjacent revenue teams, and know their KPIs and pain points.

  • Prototype with AI daily. You’re comfortable prompting GPT-4o, chaining calls, evaluating models vs. RAG pipelines, and hacking quick demos in Python/TypeScript or no-code tools.

  • Experience of making data your co-pilot. You interrogate Snowflake or BigQuery, run funnel analyses, and translate insights into product bets.

  • Communicating like a founder. Whether writing a one-pager, running a customer call, or debating trade-offs with engineers, you clarify the “why,” inspire action, and welcome feedback.

  • Thriving in ambiguity. Deadlines excite you, hats are interchangeable, and “good enough this week” beats “perfect next quarter.”

Nice-to-have skills or experience:

  • Prior software engineering, data-science, or agentic-framework (LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, etc.) experience.

  • Exposure to pricing & packaging for consumption-based or value-based SaaS models.

  • Track record co-developing products with large enterprises or strategic design partners.

Why You’ll Love It Here:

Gainsight is a place where innovation is shaped through collaboration, curiosity, and a shared focus on solving real-world problems. With a growing suite of products across customer success, product experience, community, education, and AI-powered relationship intelligence, we continue to evolve with the needs of our customers. When people with diverse strengths, a strong sense of community, and true passion for our mission come together, they drive greater impact and create lasting value. What underpins it all is a culture that offers the stability, trust, and support that people need - not just to do the job, but to show up as themselves and feel connected to the work they do. Gainsters love working here for several reasons. Here are a few:

  • The starting base salary range for this role is $227,000 - $257,000 USD annually. This role is also eligible for commission based on performance and participation in Gainsight’s equity program. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as skills, experience, and location.
  • We offer a comprehensive benefits package including fully covered medical premiums (employee-only), flexible PTO, 401(k) plan, dental and vision coverage, and remote work options. Additional benefits include a $10,000 lifetime fertility stipend and access to coworking spaces around the globe. You'll also enjoy dedicated Recharge Holidays - one long weekend each quarter to relax and reset.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
