The Sr. Product Manager role is critical in driving key product activities, and a compelling and powerful roadmap. Responsible for driving the product strategy and execution of Data Protection. In this role, you will leverage company practices of product management and operations, shape and oversee product capabilities to address market needs. Excellent understanding of the cybersecurity market, our customers, and competition will be important in this role. Through our Core Values and Operating Principles, you will collaborate with various key stakeholders to accomplish goals.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Develop and shape the maintenance and execution of roadmap initiatives for Fortra's Data Protection in coordination with internal stakeholders to plan future work that aligns with Fortra's strategies
  • Lead discussions with internal and external stakeholders to validate market problems and product needs and uncover gaps and opportunities for the product
  • Own and lead Product Councils with cross-functional leads to ensure alignment on strategy and roadmap
  • Initiate market research and analysis of market size, opportunity and segments to define business cases in order to identify market problems worth solving
  • Responsible for overseeing and influencing the end-to-end product discovery, design, development, and delivery of our products across their lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with customer facing teams on maintaining relationships with customers to proactively manage the product roadmap, solicit feedback, and manage expectations
  • Influence development team to execute initiatives by communicating key product vision, strategy, and market problems clearly for requirement building
  • Owning priorities and plans based on market/business data and key stakeholder insights and working effectively with development team
  • Work with UX/UI Design team to refine feature designs, socialize features, and capture feedback
  • Deliver training during product development and release activities, in collaboration with Product Marketing & Technical Training to ensure teams are prepared for product launches
  • Analyze data to measure and improve product performance from both a technical and business perspective, influence go forward decisions
  • Monitor security technology developments and industry innovation to guide product planning
  • Model a positive, inclusive workplace one in which the talents and strengths of our increasingly diverse workforce are welcomed, further developed and manifested in our work
  • Fosters a workplace with the highest moral, ethical and legal standards to deliver an environment that promotes respect, innovation and creativity

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-8 years product experience
  • Developed knowledge in B2B technology, software, and/or security
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional training or certificate
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate a compelling vision
  • General experience in agile development environment
  • Experience in product management frameworks and best practices
  • Proven experience in strategic product management tied to goals, objectives, metrics and outcomes
  • Self-study in areas including design, engineering, psychology or the arts a plus
