About Signifyd

At Signifyd, we empower businesses to thrive in the digital commerce era by eliminating fraud and creating seamless post-purchase experiences. Our mission is to build trust at every step of the customer journey — from checkout to return.

As we scale our new Intelligent Returns portfolio, we are seeking passionate product leaders to shape the future of post-purchase innovation — delivering speed, intelligence, and personalization to merchants and their customers.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to own and scale our newly-launched decisioning products: Instant Refunds and Selective Appeasements. These products sit at the core of Signifyd’s expansion beyond fraud — applying machine learning to solve costly, complex problems in returns.

This is a deeply 0-to-1 role. You’ll work directly with our first customers, iterate quickly, shape product-market fit, and collaborate tightly with data scientists, GTM teams, and engineers. The right candidate is comfortable owning ambiguity, moving fast, and staying close to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of Instant Refunds and Selective Appeasements, from product vision to execution and growth.
  • Partner with Data Science to shape and iterate on ML models that power decisioning for returns and appeasements.
  • Define decision outcomes and feedback loops — work with internal teams and merchants to generate quality labels and measurable results.
  • Work closely with early design partners to refine user experience and ensure product impact.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, and Product Marketing to support deployments, craft narratives, and drive adoption.
  • Gather qualitative and quantitative feedback from merchants to continuously refine roadmap priorities.
  • Maintain a strong pulse on the evolving e-commerce returns landscape and merchant pain points.
  • Operate with urgency and autonomy, making decisions that accelerate value delivery.
  • Expected 30% travel
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience shipping AI- or ML-based decisioning products, especially those where model outputs are core to product value.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Data Science, Engineering, and GTM teams.
  • Familiarity with labeling strategies, model evaluation, and feedback data loops.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity, making fast iterations, and working closely with customers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to influence across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Deep sense of ownership, grit, and bias for action.
Desirable Attributes
  • Experience working on returns, post-purchase workflows, or fulfillment operations.
  • Familiarity with the e-commerce or retail ecosystem (especially mid- to enterprise-scale merchants).
  • Experience launching products with early design partners or in pilot/PPOV environments.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
