About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the development and optimization of G2's rapidly-growing advertising platform. As part of the Advertisement team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and refining our seller-side ads platform and working with our Buyer Experience team to optimize ad conversion. The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B advertising models and ad performance optimization to drive measurable outcomes for advertisers while maintaining transparency and relevance for buyers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the vision and strategy for G2’s advertising platform, focusing on seller-side ad placement and buyer-side engagement.

  • Lead the development and optimization of G2's ad products, including PPC and ad buyouts, to optimize revenue growth.

  • Leverage product analytics and experimentation to track performance, derive insights, and iterate on ad products.

  • Partner with Engineering and Design to implement scalable and effective ad solutions.

  • Align with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Success teams to understand advertiser needs, improve ad effectiveness, and help drive go-to-market motions that support G2's digital revenue strategy.

  • Solicit and evaluate seller and buyer feedback on ad units.

  • Evaluate, develop, and optimize ad targeting models.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, data privacy regulations, and best practices in ad technology.

Minimum Qualifications:

We realize applying for jobs can feel daunting at times. Even if you don’t check all the boxes in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.

  • 3-5 years of Product Management experience, with a background in ads platforms, programmatic advertising, or ad bidding systems.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for developing and rapidly iterating on minimum viable products that optimize for time-to-money.

  • Experience with real-time bidding and ad-serving infrastructure.

  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in extracting qualitative and quantitative user behavior insights (i.e. through A/B and painted door testing, data analysis, and session replay).

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience in B2B marketplaces or SaaS advertising is a plus.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
