The Opportunity

This position works out of our SH division at the Santa Clara, CA location.

Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of STRUCTURAL HEART disease.  We aim to lead the markets we serve by requiring the solutions we offer customers provide an improved benefit/risk profile as compared to existing standards of care; a performance threshold that, guides and ensures the productive output of our engineering, business development, and clinical research efforts result in outcomes that advance the standard of care.
 

What You'll Work On

  • The Senior Product Manager is the core marketing owner and driver of the success for the MitraClip and TriClip product lines in the Structural Heart business unit. This role will focus on product marketing for MitraClip, TriClip and upcoming product launches in the U.S. This position will work closely with the sales team and be responsible for aspects of US strategy development plus Forecasting, Financial and Marketing Plan Development, Sales Materials and Training, Pricing, and Materials Management.
  • The Senior Product Manager shall maintain US product expertise for MitraClip and TriClip, products/franchises, including market sizes/trend share, customer needs and targeting, product performance/benefits/weaknesses/positioning.
  • The Senior Product Manager shall provide on-going field support and will focus on growing the market awareness for MitraClip, TriClip and related disease states, including new product launches in 2025 and beyond.
  • Success will be measured against sales and margin expectations, sales force competency/knowledge level and market image.
     

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain worldwide market expertise for MitraClip, TriClip and relative Structural Heart technologies, including in-depth knowledge of US competitor products and strategies, market trends and dynamics, market/franchise critical success factors, and customer needs.
  • Develop and create best in market product messaging and collaborate with global marketing and field team to market test messaging feasibility.
  • Develop strategies to address product performance issues.
  • Develop and update annual marketing plans/strategies including market analysis, customer segmentation and targeting, product positioning, competitive assessments, and SWOT or other situation assessment.
  • Create and develop US specific strategies for new product launches.
  • Support launch readiness by developing product inventory timing, marketing programs, and working with communications manager to develop promotional collateral.
  • Take a leadership role on project teams to work closely with the project manager to drive accountability and team achievement of goals and milestones.
  • Manage creative agencies to plan, develop, and execute new US materials.
  • Partner with regulatory colleagues in the review and negotiation of materials to ensure competitiveness, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Develop plan & update US forecasts and justification for respective product lines worldwide and present to BU senior management.
  • Work with clinical team to develop and drive strategic publication initiatives within the US.
     

Accountability

  • The Senior Product Manager will report to the Director of US TMTI Marketing Structural Heart and will have primary marketing and budget responsibility for designated products.
  • In this core Marketing role, the PM will drive and be held accountable to deliver Sales, Margin, and PEx goals for designated products.
  • The Product Manager will be expected to be responsive and able to directly address questions and requests of senior management including the SH DVP.
     

Required Qualifications  

  • Prior marketing experience within medical device or healthcare industry.
  • Bachelors’ Degree with 6+ years related marketing or product management experience. MBA with 1+ years of related experience also considered.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time.
  • Substantial financial skills, market analysis and advanced communication skills.
  • Knowledge/ability to develop and execute a new product launch.
  • Strong analytical skills as well as written and oral communication skills.
     

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Able to understand technical and scientific information.
  • Willing to understand and comply with Regulatory requirements.
  • Able to influence and motivate individuals from sales, marketing, and other functional areas to drive product sales.
  • Ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.

The base pay for this position is

$128,000.00 – $256,000.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
