Title: Sr. Product Manager

Reports To: CTO

Location: Remote (US Only)

About Us

We've built the system of record for the $200+ billion insurance brokerage and agency market — an industry that forms the backbone of our modern economy. We serve a strong roster of customers including industry leaders like USAA and many others. WR Berkley, a Fortune 500 insurance holding company, led our Series B and provides invaluable strategic partnership as we reshape the insurance technology landscape.

About the Role

Amplo is looking for a Senior Product Manager to own product strategy and execution across the Amplo platform. This is not a role for someone who wants to manage a single feature area. This is a role for someone who thinks across the entire product, holds the customer perspective at all times, and brings the conviction to make hard prioritization calls.

You'll work directly with the CTO and partner closely with Engineering, CX, and GTM to translate company strategy into a roadmap that ships. You'll start with a clear set of high-priority projects on the roadmap and grow into full platform-wide product ownership from there.

This is the right role for you if you see product management as a decision-making function with generates clarity, not process. Deep AI fluency will set you apart because you approach every product problem through the lens of what's now possible.

What You'll Do

Own the roadmap: Define and maintain a product roadmap across the Amplo platform. Make prioritization calls that balance customer value, technical feasibility, and business impact and own those calls.

Drive discovery and customer insight: Lead ongoing discovery with insurance brokers and agency operators. Surface unmet needs, validate hypotheses, and feed what you learn directly back into the roadmap.

Ship with engineering: Write clear specs, participate meaningfully in planning and review, and stay close to delivery. Be the person engineers want to build with.

Lead AI product strategy: Identify where AI creates real leverage for Amplo customers and for the platform itself. Design features where AI is a key element.

Synthesize cross-functional signals: Pull together what's coming from Sales, CX, and support into a coherent product view. Help the organization prioritize from signal, not noise.

Define and track success: Set clear metrics for everything you ship. Own the feedback loop from launch through iteration.

Communicate decisions: Make product thinking visible across the organization, to the CTO, to engineering, and to go-to-market teams. Write well, decide clearly, explain concisely.

What You'll Need
  • 6+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time in a senior or lead capacity

  • Demonstrated AI-native product instincts

  • Track record of owning complex, multi-stakeholder product areas with real autonomy

  • Strong written communication and a bias toward clarity over comprehensiveness

  • Comfort operating in a startup environment where scope is broad, priorities evolve, and ownership is real

  • Experience in B2B SaaS or workflow software used by professionals in complex domains

Nice to Have

  • Background in insurance, fintech, or another regulated vertical

  • Experience as a solo or early-stage PM at a company under 100 people

  • Familiarity working alongside a technical CTO or in a deeply technical product environment

What Success Looks Like

In your first 6–12 months, the following should be true:

  • Initial roadmap projects are delivered on time, with measurable customer impact

  • You've developed a deep point of view on the amplo platform — where it's strong, where it has gaps, and what to build next

  • Engineering and CX trust you as the connective tissue between customer insight and product delivery

  • At least one AI-powered capability is in production that meaningfully changes how customers experience the platfor

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and equity

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits

  • 401(k) with employer match + safe harbor vesting

  • Remote-first culture

  • Unlimited PTO

  • The chance to build something meaningful in a large, underserved market

The base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location. Amplo is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.

We consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state, or local law.

Amplo participates in E-Verify to confirm the employment eligibility of all new hires. To learn more about E-Verify, including your rights and responsibilities, please visit www.e-verify.gov.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
