About the Role:

 

The Senior Product Manager for SOAR will develop and drive the product vision, strategy and successful execution of evolving the automation and orchestration capabilities into the Arctic Wolf platform. They will define how the platform supports the various service domains and what commercial offerings we release to partners and customers within Arctic Wolf’s Security Services portfolio.   

  

The Senior Product Manager will need to understand market needs and trends, collaborate with the product teams, manage the delivery and success of new products and capabilities in a data-driven manner, and drive priorities that maximize value to the internal and external customers. Senior Product Managers participate in strategic and tactical activities for medium to large sized, complex cross functional projects, and serve as the champion for their assigned product/service areas and may serve as product owner for one or more development teams. Individuals in this role will partner with others on the team to achieve their goals.   

 

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct internal and external research: service domain requirements, customer requirements, market requirement, competitive research, internal research and analysis to inform strategic direction and priorities for their product/service areas.  

  • May define new products and services or conduct research to support senior leadership’s research decision making process.  

  • Regularly collaborate across the business to collect and socialize a comprehensive, accurate and detailed set of feature requirements and prioritized backlog for one or more major product or service offerings.   

  • Owns the definition, prioritization and hygiene of the product backlog throughout the concept through delivery process.   

  • Working in partnership with the UX team, ensures delivery of all user experience mock ups required in support of backlog items.  

  • Act as a product/service delivery champion: represent the business and value of the capabilities throughout the product delivery process, problem solve obstacles to delivery, build a sense of team and set the urgency/energy levels where appropriate, model and foster company values across delivery teams and ensure overall team and project success.  

  • Readily identifies and resolves conflicts cross functionally to ensure alignment of priorities and delivery to leadership expectations.  

  • Contribute research projects, socialize learnings and contribute ideas in support of long term product/service strategy decisions.   

  • Periodically required to brief senior product executives on the state of their respective products/service releases and plans.  

  • Collaborate with pricing, packaging and positioning discussions alongside product marketing teams to maximize value of their deliverables.  

  • Works with peers in product management and engineering to regularly identify and implement ways to improve collaboration and operational aspects of product and service.  

  • Define and deliver technical product marketing and service deliverables. 

 

Qualifications of a successful candidate: 

  • 5+ years of product management in a cyber-security and service-based business strongly preferred.  

  • Experience working traditional product management frameworks, requirements definition, financial modeling, and go to market techniques with service driven software applications, including product release processes and product pricing models.  

  • Understanding of full-life cycle product and portfolio management with a special focus on product definition, development, and delivery where the product is a service 

  • The successful candidate will be expected to take and successfully achieve both Triage (TSE1) and Concierge (CSE2) certification in the first 90 days as part of this role.  

  • BA/BS technical degree required, MBA preferred. 

  • Knowledge and use of technical, market, and customer research methodologies.  

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for internal audiences of all levels and externally with partners and customers. They are a “trusted” voice of product.  

  • Technical aptitude capable to comprehend target customer IT infrastructure, company products and services at a system, data flow and API level, the ins and outs of development, design, agile framework, software development, and scrum approach.   

  • Full understanding and knowledge of security service delivery, processes, and tooling will be required to be successful in this role – training and certification for various service delivery roles will be provided to augment existing skills.  

  • Keen understanding of various aspects of the business and exceptional understanding of translating strategic goals into operational tactics.
