About the Role
- Complex is looking for a stellar Senior Product Manager to lead the transformation of our shopping experience into a culturally rich, high-conversion marketplace that fuses content, commerce, and community. This isn’t just about optimizing a funnel, it’s about reimagining what shopping looks and feels like in a world where fashion, music, and culture collide. Reporting to the Director of Product - you’ll own the end-to-end journey of Complex Shop across mobile and web.
What You'll Do
- Own the Vision: Define and evangelize a compelling vision for why Complex Shop should be a go-to destination for fashion - one that reflects the passions of our audience and the legacy of our brand.
- Lead Product Development: Partner closely with Engineering, Design, and Program Management to ship iteratively and at a high quality. Prioritize ruthlessly and bias toward speed, while never compromising on user experience.
- Optimize The Journey: Lead site personalization and landing experience strategy to ensure visitors from external channels (e.g. paid media, editorial links) are directed to the most relevant and high-converting entry points. Work cross-functionally with the Marketing and Merchandising teams to align channel goals with on-site outcomes.
- Test & Learn: Own the A/B testing strategy across the entire shopping funnel. Develop clear hypotheses for user drop-off, design experiments to validate them, and collaborate with Design and Engineering to implement data-backed improvements that continuously optimize the shopping experience.
- Obsess Over the Customer: Collaborate with our UX Research team to deeply understand our users and champion their voices in every product decision.
- Measure and Optimize: Use data-driven insights to measure success, iterate on product performance, and continuously improve user engagement and revenue outcomes.
- Own Your KPIs: Lead discussions on product performance in regular business review with senior executives to highlight what’s working and what’s not, use data to talk about what’s our next big bets
Who you are
- Experienced: 5+ years of product management experience in e-commerce, online marketplaces, or consumer tech. Experience building shopping experiences with a high bar for visual storytelling is a bonus.
- Data Fluent: Comfortable digging into funnel drop-offs, segmenting user cohorts, and using dashboards (Amplitude, Tableau, or equivalent) to inform product decisions. You’re fluent in how commerce metrics map to business outcomes.
- AI-Mindset: You’re excited about AI’s potential - especially in personalization, search, and curation - and eager to work with engineering to explore its application in shopping.
- Customer-Led: You regularly speak with users, run tests, and synthesize insights. You deeply understand today’s consumer mindset, including their desire for authenticity, participation, and community in brand interactions.
- Creative Storyteller: You know how to rally stakeholders behind a product vision. You use narrative, visuals, and cultural context to communicate effectively across disciplines and levels of leadership.
- Collaborative Operator: You’ve worked across multiple stakeholders and departments and know how to negotiate tradeoffs and keep complex initiatives moving forward.
- Strategic & Tactical: You can zoom out to set a strategic roadmap and zoom in to write detailed user stories, think through edge cases, and QA issues.
- Strong Visual Taste: You have a sharp eye for high-quality, cohesive design and can clearly articulate your visual point of view. You’re confident giving actionable design feedback and collaborating closely with designers to ensure the final product reflects a distinct, well-executed aesthetic.
- Product Toolkit: Familiar with product management tools such as Jira, Figma, Amplitude, Segment, and AI co-pilot tools for documentation, prototyping, or experimentation.
Bonus Points if…
- You’re passionate about the intersection of technology, fashion, music, and community.
- Experience working with Shopify, Sanity CMS, and Headless E-commerce Architecture

- You love tools like Loveable, v0.dev, Bolt.new or Magician to rapidly prototype products - and believe it’s the new way to write PRDs.
